It might sound like one of those cliche plots, but my bf cheated with my bff, I had thought suicidal thoughts almost everyday, and it was starting to get out of hand, I was send to a mental hospital. Mostly because of the fact that that friend was with me since I was 5-6 years old or so.

I don't think I understand the lyrics.. To me it's a song about someone who is getting over someone they thought they would have forever. They are glad they are gone, though. They found their "one in a million" new people that make them happy and help them heal. They are taking back themselves from the person who tore them apart. They are building themselves back up to a point where it does not hurt them anymore. They are happier and were made stronger by this person and not tore down. Just my reasoning of the song^^
