When I was working in the business, I had the pleasure of meeting Gerald and Joe Little (lead singer of the Rude Boys) at their recording studio in Cleveland, Ohio. As we were pulling up, Sean, and Mark we’re pulling away in a Range Rover, but Gerald and Joe stayed behind. It was surreal because Gerald walked up to me, stuck his hand out and said, “Gerald.” I have met several big named entertainers but Gerald was most memorable. Rest In Peace, fam!

I love hearing that. I have met Many famous people and most of them were fabulous. I stood and talked to Johnny Guitar Watson for an hour at a record store in 1994. Very down to earth and as cool as an iceberg. Roger Troutman was another. However, I can think of two that I wish that I had never crossed paths with. One was the so called greatest bluemans and the other ran track with gold shoes. Both were extreme aholes.

Jan 91 Ft Jackson basic training will always remind me of this jam. Once the drill Sgts found out, I knew about music being a DJ as they were all black guys who I looked to as mentors changed things for me in basic.
