Regarding why the Springboks test in Brisbane is being played during the afternoon during club rugby games, the reason being cited is that the Nine/Stan broadcasters don't want it to clash with the Olympics that's happening afterwards. It's unfortunate that club rugby's the victim in this whole situation, broadcast say still holds significant value.

Playing Rugby games when famous rugby schools are playing is a bad idea. In SA with the URC times, the stadiums were more empty than they would have been because people were attending the school games. You're right to rant about the games times. The school kids don't get to watch their provincial teams play as it's happening.

Wow, Australia Rugby management is getting worse... How? With the birth right law, think it will more negatively impact Australia. With any prospective players not really having much reason to want to stay and play for a country and fans that has reducing interest and support. The knock on effect of reduced competition will impact NZ more, but also SA and ARG. For NZ, i think so long as being an All Black is still regarded so highly, it will be less of an impact for them for a while. Players will hang in there for that honour. The birth right law was always intended to strengthen the lower tier rugby nations, to give them greater opportunity to increase available experienced players. So was always going to negatively impact Aus & NZ the most.

Players can play for whatever club they want to... I agree with you though... Players who have represented their country shouldn't be able to switch... 5 year residency seems fair - three years is too short.

You play where your passport says, if you have multiple passport, you choose one for life. Not difficult, the rest of sports do this, even Sevens rugby do this in order to play the Olympics. Simple, no wokism BS.

Maybe you should be ineligible to play for another country if you make the starting team for a country in a game against a team in a similar place on the world rugby rankings. There was an All Black whose entire All Black career was about 10 minutes as a replacement. There was another All Black who was called up as a prop replacement for the World Cup. Never played a single minute for the All Blacks ever, but has a rugby world cup winners medal. :) Would also stop the All Blacks naming a second or third string team when playing a minnow and those players can no longer play for another country.

Wallabies and all blacks have been enjoying pacific players from Tonga Samoa and Fiji for years it wasn't a big deal but now they can go play for there family and the pacific it a problem now no it not did you know Australia and nz coaches would go to the islands and take players use money to get them they play a hand of games for nz or Australia then drop them and block them from playing international for there home land that what not right

At this rate wallabies won't exist in a few years
