However - and this is where his behaviour crossed that red line - Folau had reached a professional peak in his career (like a number of other individuals in every sport) where he had become a highly respected and influential figure most especially for the generations of kids who had dreams of achievement whatever paths they would eventually pursue. It’s no one’s business should he want to express his opinions on particularly sensitive subjects like religion, women’s rights, the LGBTQ discourse and so on. It’s a simple equation really. He’s an intelligent man presumably and he must have been aware that by openly exposing his feelings of revulsion for anyone who doesn’t fit the bill - be it someone who is gay, disabled, of a different race and so on - he’s making it very clear to those who will one day fit his boots, that everything demeaning he says is acceptable. In all seriousness, do you not agree that this is an inherent problem?
