I'll sat this right now ruger haters can hate but find the ammo it likes and it will shoot just like this one ! Rule of thumb you always try different ammo to find out what the gun bore likes anyhow 😉

Amazing that with all the more popular and newer calibers coming out seemingly on a monthly basis that the tried and true 30-06 shoots as good as any of them

Heck yeah. All the new fancy whiz-bang rounds will come and go, but .30-06 will still be there to remind people that grandpa's round puts as much meat in the freezer as anything that has existed. There's a reason why it's been so popular for nearly 120 years. It just works.

I have a Remington 700 30.06 put in Arch Angel chassis, timney 2 stage trigger and it touches the shots at 100 yds just like his .35 group.Tack driver. Just bought a Go Wild 243 w/16in barrel for Yotes. Waiting on 72hrs to go by and can't wait to put Thermion XM38 and get to smoking. 24hr season opens 11-15-23

The old timer 3006 gets over looked by all the fancy pants calibers out now a days. But Gunny Hathcock used his Winchester model 70 in 3006 to snipe the enemy in Vietnam.

I just sighted in my old Savage 110 30-06 this morning. I picked up 200 Rounds of the same ammo you used in this video. I have been shooting that ammo since I purchased the rifle in 1994. It just groups well for me. I replaced my original Simmons Pro 50mm scope with a Burris Droptine 4.5x14x44mm. I am getting 1/2 inch groups at 50 yards. My longest shot is only 75 yards where I hunt.

I was looking for a .308 bullot projector a year ago and looked heavily at this unit. Looking at also buying an extra magazine for the rifle I looked at Ruger’s online store and the comments on the replacement magazine turned me off. Good on Ruger for leaving negative comments up. I still may buy one. The savage 110 ultralight I bought has a barrel that is around 200 fps slower than it should be. Proof research may have a budget line they sell to manufacturers. Thank you who tee who.

Only thing I have that is a detractor, with the scope and rail, I can't get what I want when it comes to a good cheek weld. Jury rigged a cheek riser, but, now, and getting the Magpul hunter stock to swap out the factory stock. Here is what we found at the local range - cheap rifles have inconsistent accuracy. Savage, Ruger, Remington and Mossberg, some have great accuracy and some mediocre. You never know which one you will get until you test it. If you get a clunker, you can send it back to the manufacturer or sell it but it is a hassle. Thanks for another great video.

I would recommend that you try the go wild. Cerakote, muzzle break, threaded, and takes the aics stack magazine. The only drawback is getting to the rear action screw. You have to remove the magazine latch. The trigger can be made better with a spring from M CARBO.

My Sako .308 shoots similar groups. Still have a 30 odd 6, find it bucks considerably more for a small fps gain. Costs a bunch to get a licence for a shush can here though. You didn't have eyes or ears on, so I figure it's fairly quiet. Have liked Ruger and Remington firearms since I was a kid. Have a Ruger .556 that shoots the same groups as my Sako .223, both have exact Hawke scope fitted. Longevity might differ but Sako easily cost three times the Ruger. Sometimes when you pay for peanuts you don't get monkeys.
