In the south where we wear t shirts a lot the Ruger 9mm is the perfect carry weapon, under the shirt with a fobus holster no one knows I have it. I was carrying 380s but the stopping power of the 380 was always in the back of my mind so I switched to 9mm. Keep it clean and oiled you never know when you might have to use it.

Very nice video, I bought one and it continually jammed no matter what ammo I used. Finally sent it back to Ruger, (they were great) Ruger replaced the ejector, spring and plunger. Got it back under 2 weeks, fired 100 rounds today with 1 failure to feed. It's ok, I'm happy with the gun now.

i put the aegis short stroke quick reset trigger on it and its badass also put mcarbo firing pin spring upgrade on it for more positive primer strikes. polished the feed ramp and the top rear of the barrel to a mirror finish. the trigger kit deletes the magazine disconnect so it will fire even with no mag in it! i only use 124 grain minimum ammo so it cycles well.

I had a Taurus 709 Slim paddle holster and my EC9s fit in it perfect.

Nice review. Own one. Decided to go w it for EDC. My Glock 19, SA Hellcat were just a bit too chunky for comfortable carry. Small, comfortable, Ruger quality, and good price, the EC9 is not only practical, it gives James Bond Walther PPK vibes. I'm a fan!

Nice review..I have this particular gun and have mostly seen negative reviews. I appreciate the positivity of yours..Here in deep south Texas 9mm ammo has slowly been increasing in amount and limits..

Love my ec9s I carry it everyday. Only thing is the rusting on the finish so i re finished mine. Got a laser and hogue grip for mine!

I have the Ruger ec9s. It's accurate and reliable. I added mag guts kits to 2 magazines making them 8+1, a hogue grip sleeve, and glow on paint to the sights so I can shoot in the dark if needed. Paired with underwood extreme defender ammunition and an urban carry lock leather owb holster makes this combination a great protection firearm. Literally disappears under an untucked t-shirt.

The Max9 is about the same size, and double stack, plus its optic ready. Of course if I saw a EC9S on the cheap, I would buy one, though.

I carry the LC9s, same gun with a blued slide and sight options. It's the same linear dimensions as a PPK but even lighter and 9mm Luger rather than .380. Most PPK holsters will work.

It's a great gun. I have had mines for almost a year now. Did some upgrades. Hogue grip, Galloway Prission +1 Magazine Extension, Aegis Short Stroke Trigger and Rugar 9 round extended mag. With the grip, extended magazine plus trigger, makes the gun extremely more comfortable to shoot.

The gun is just a good gun . some people got to have a big name I think this not just a starter gun it's a WEAPON, Thanks for a good review

Picked up an smith and Wesson mp9 ez and this beauty on the same day. I Paid $440 for the two. I’m definitely liking the smith and Wesson more but this little gun might just earn a spot in my edc lineup

I keep going back and forth depending on what I'm wearing between my Ruger EC9s 9mm and my Ruger LCP Max 380 front right pocket for whichever one I'm using at the time. The few times I've been to a range with them > no problems at all AND as far as accuracy goes > for what I'd consider normal commonly reported self defense shooting distance's > both my EC9s AND 380 Max were fine. i really like the Lc9/ec9 for how slim it is. It conceals extremely well and comfortably, while still remaining shootable. I carry it AIWB at the gym or while cycling/jogging and i barely notice it's there. I was using a Hellcat for my bike rides before, as small as it is....the LC9s is considerably more comfortable. Slim is good

Shootablity for me is the ability to get a good grip on the gun..this one is perfect

I'm used to carrying my full size Taurus g3 in an iwb alien gear holster. The extra weight never bothered me, it's a great shooter and I'll never get rid of it. But this little ruger sure looks sharp and I'll probably get one

I've had my Ruger EC9s since it was first introduced. I have no negatives. It has been dependable and compact. I did add a Hogue grip sleeve which feels good in my hand. Thanks for your review!

I like ec9s it is a good firearm to carry or even to keep at home for self-defense. I like that the ec9s has a few safeties on it the 2 main safeties I like is went the magazine is out of the firearm and there's still one in the chamber the trigger lock is great. The 2nd one is the main safety if you know your firearm if you have your holster tucked in your waistband with the safety on if you had to pull out you know the safety goes down. 1 more thing when you buy a new firearm like I was saying you want to know it like going out with a new girlfriend you want to know as much about her just as much as I want to know about my new firearm. I like to brake it down and clean what oil was used or lubrication and and then re Oriole lubricate the firearm this way you know how to break your going down and you know how to put it together lot of people say they had a problem with the slide being stuck after the mag was done a few times you put the new mag and you pulled back there are three or four times that it works beautiful it has good qualifications just the trigger other than that no problems I don't have to paint the front because I see through the tunnel Slide the two pieces I ain't met up with the metal and I just said for self-defence of somebody to come in at you you're going to hit them anyway Obama helped some people out and realize you know it is a good piece everybody enjoy have fun and be positive with your firearm.

I carry mine every day even though I have a Springfield XDM mod 2. The EC9S is just a good light carry gun. I've put 300+ rounds through mine without an issue.

My ec9s has a feeding issue. Hornandy jamms up everytime
