People complain about the inaccuracy of 7.62x39 ammo... I have owned and shot bolt action guns in 7.62x39 that shot 1/2 inch or under 5 shot groups at 100 yards using cheap steel case ammo... Some of it they didn't like but honestly the majority of it shot excellent!

check the windage turret cup. usually ejecting cases of mini 30 hit the scope … i have mini 14 and 30 and i see scuff marks on scopes

I guess the scope sets high enough I can't see any scuff marks where it hits the turret ejecting.

@@podunkmissouri4999 original ruger rings have numbers on it. 4 , 5 and 6. most likely you have a rings with number 6. i have tested 4 and 5 and i saw hit marks on scope

Wish you'd have contacted Ruger about that firing pin short problem..They've sent me FREE parts when I've had problems..Even for a p-944 that was 26 years old!!

@@podunkmissouri4999Dang!! I called 'em up and they sent me two parts, no charge..Anyway...They gave me one new 25 rd mag and another 15 rd mag for my 10/22 when the new ONE I bought wouldn't function....I dunno..Guess I got lucky. Pisses me off that Ruger didn't help you.

What type of ammo was that? I have a mini thirty and can't get anything better than 8 inch groups at 100 yards with russian ammo... so sad. I got the extended firing pin like you did and also tried a strut, but it doesn't do much.

SKS accuracy. With an American made rifle like the mini 14/30 at 900 plus I just can’t get over how inaccurate they can be. If I could consistently get under 2 MOA at 100m id be happy.
