Rugged Tub Utility Sink for Machine Shop

let's unbox, assemble, and review the Rugged Tub utility sink. This is made in Canada and is made of polyethylene and has level adjusting feet. It has a nice spray nozzle and a utility or drying shelf. It was purchased at Lowe's for a little more than $100. It's quite a good unit.

Cool stuff. I dig your review focusing on drill bit shapeners. I admire your accomplishment to become a medical physician. I barely passed O chem and micro physiology... no med school for me. Eventually, I persued another venue in the medical field. I know the effort you invested to attain you goal. Semper Fi.

Hello there thank you for your question which is a very good one. There is an anti-siphon valve. It prevents any dirty water particles, contamination, etc. from getting back into the line. It’s not absolutely necessary. You certainly could remove it. It’s more of a safety feature, but that’s what it’s known as an anti-siphon valve.

Perfect size but I'm returning mine to lowes. The faucet and p-trap are junk and it appears the sink is just too wobbly for me. Lowes has another tub only model and I will spend the extra money on a metal faucet and plumbing separetly. Thanks for sharing. Nice tutorial.

Thank you for your comment. I understand there are definitely limitations with the sink but it’s worked well for me. The faucet is Chinese plastic not heavy duty at all and under rigorous work. It will probably fail. I’m just extra careful with it to keep it working well and it has so far now for a year. Consider subscribing. Thanks Joe.

Can you explain how the plumbing connects from the bottom of the tub to the trap? Can’t seem to make it fit

Thank you for your question. I’m sorry that you have a leak. Number one you can reuse the current weights you have on your new hose and I believe you can buy a new spray hose at Lowe’s Home Depot or other stores like that. Consider subscribing. Thanks. Joe.

Thanks for the video. The box cover I bought says it includes a "garden hose adaptor". I don't see any such thing included. Is there such a thing available? I'd like to hook it up outside near an outdoor spiget.

Thank you for your comment. Mine did not come with a garden hose adapter, nor was it listed in the instructions. It would be a handy feature, but it would have to fit on the spray handle. The spray handle nozzle can come off and it might be able to be re-fitted with a hose adapter. Consider subscribing. Thanks Joe.

I'm assuming that meant for hooking up the supply lines to old school laundry taps that are garden hose size. (actually what I came here to confirm, which is unfortunate that he didn't show any of the other plumbing bits that came with. :( )

Hey, I think your comment is very reasonable I’m sorry I didn’t demonstrate that, but I actually had a plumber install. My bed came with all the necessary parts.

Too bad you didn't show any of the other bits and bobs that came with... skipping the entire plumbing end of set up makes this not as useful of a video for those of us that actually came to see ALL the unboxing.
