Rusty, The sound is very low. I have my settings all the way up to the limit and still can barely hear you. Love the town scenes.

Rusty, You probably do not need to use your external mic. Comment Call is audible just fine which I believe is done without the external mic.

@Rich Landry. Are you using your phone? There is in your phone has a volume section which lets you adjust your media. I use it for KZfaq and games. I have accidently muted it. I did not have sound.. Until one of my adult children showed me how to adjust all my sound settings. Not sure if it will help or you already tried it..

Along with all the good food and the drive thru Ruidoso I think you need a mic with better volume, I had to put my headphones on to hear you.

This is such a helpful video. I'm taking a vacation in October and that is where I decided to go, which is why I looked up Ruidoso on KZfaq. Good job Rusty!

That’s true about Broccoli Rusty ,I try to eat salads with Kale and Spinach also . Really enjoyed the drive my friend as always, it was beautiful. Take care 👍👌

Ruidoso starts to open up just before Memorial Day. It's like day and night. My wife was there about 3 years ago about a week before now and it was still in half hibernation. Also check out Cloudcroft.

Destination Skyline Campsite 10 day. Just departed Cloudcroft back at base in Texas.Then leaving on the 20th. For some high altitude camping. BTW my buddy heater will not operate after 8,500 ft. BUNDLE UP BLANKETS IN MY TRUCK

I came through Ruidoso NM in my big 37' Bounder motorhome a few years ago and I was very stressed out. I forget the Rte I was on but it took me straight through the main drag. Narrow and busy with people and traffic. I kept looking for a place to stop and park so I could explore the area a little on foot. No luck. I was forced to keep on driving and finally was able to stop at a Donut Shop for a few minutes but it was tight and I could not stay there. I never saw the Walmart. Of course being a solo, I could not check my GPS or a map. Shoud have checked it out more before I went there. Reminded me greatly of Gatlinburg TN. Lots of high elevation forest, small businesses, restaurants and vacations cabins everywhere and up on the sides of mountains. Just kept on driving right through and out of town. Too bad! Pretty area though.

You might discover snow in Capitan/Ruidoso is no fuss. Desert dry keeps the cold out of the bones, or so I've heard. I live in the swampy bottoms of Maryland. It can get brutal in both directions here. And damp lets you feel it. Its already hotter here, low 60s and high 90s this weekend. Desert dry is the way to comfortable living. Wishing you blue skies and green lights, Amigo... from now on.

Enjoyed the vid. Love the town. That pretty stream you mentioned is the Rio Ruidoso (the noisy river) from where the town gets its name.

I am not sure if the message I just sent Rich Landry. I know I have had the problem. Please don't yell at me..... But there is control panel that lets you adjust all of your volumes in one setting ringtone, media which is this platform, Alerts . This is for cell users.

Yeah, me to. I am keeping a close eye on the weather on the Accu-Weather website to see how this winter goes down their. My concern is that there are not a lot of apartments for rent, and the ones that are available are much higher than here. ( I am in the Northwoods / Wisconsin ) I am trying to find a place with mountains and alpine forest that only has about 2 months or so of winter, instead of the 6-7 months we get here, this year is an El Nino' year that's why it's so mild so far. The temperature in the summer in Ruidoso seem to be 10-15 degrees or so cooler at that elevation as opposed to Alamogordo on the desert floor.

@@rusty78609 Its not a matter of speaking louder… the issue is with your mic. When you don’t use a mic on Comment Call, the sound is at a normal level. Either your brand of mic is not playing well with the Pixel, or the Pixel itself is having issues with an external mic. Is there an input level adjustment for the mic in the settings for your video recording app on Pixel? As a person who creates videos to be seen and heard on KZfaq, I would think that you would want to make the effort to actually address and remedy the issue, rather than blow it off and claim that you will simply talk louder.

How early in the morning were you driving through mid-town? Nothing opens before 10 or 11am. It looked like most of the stores were still closed. Try going this weekend around 1pm. It will be packed after Memorial Day

It’s “foolish” to try and save lives? I shudder to think how many more deaths there would have been if no precautions were implemented. I’m sure you only see them as inconvenient. Times are tough if your business takes a real hit… times are even tougher if you’re six feet under.
