RUIKE M42-N Multitool Pocketknife (Swiss Army Style) Initial Impressions Review

This Swiss Army Pocketknife styled Multitool is the RUIKE M42-N. A G10 and hex hardwared answer to the Victorinox Huntsman. Very competitive price point for EDC, but can you accept the changes to the toolset it makes? Let me know your thoughts in the comments.

Great review! Torn now between which I would prefer to have out of this and a huntsman. I like that this gets rid of a couple of features I don't care for anyway.

I need a much bigger Victorinox Cybertool L. It's to tiny and to small in men's hand. The blade is also much to short. Ruike don't have the thing's I need. But the blade is nice.

Is that a flat gring on the blade? Looks like it. I have a Boker Tech Tool and if I'm not mistaken, that one has a hollow grind.

There is a flat grind on this one. Ah I didn’t realize the Tech Tool had a different blade. Good catch

Do you miss not having the small blade and hook on the ruike

I do not miss the second blade, personally. The hook doesn’t come in handy enough in my daily life that I need it. So for me this tool is just as useful as a Huntsman

Perhaps I’ll consider the brand when they get rid of the ridiculous seat belt knife. Other than that it is awsome

It's like the fork in MKM (Maniago) MALGA 6. Anyway the Ruike M42-N it's easy to disassemble - Torx screws; and so removed the dangerous blade.

@@Sokol10 actually I totally want one now. Except I am in love with my knipex 5” pliers and Klein electrician scissors. I have a gerber dime on my keychain 🤟🏻. I mentor my kids robotics team. I could see myself carrying the m61 and calling it a day. But I have a personality defect for edc… I don’t like to abuse or overuse my Swiss Army knives or multitools, which is ofcourse what they r for and u just replace it. So I prefer small pocket tools 🛠️ in combination. Ruike is incredible though, I want one
