RUIKE Trekker LD51-B Multi-Tool : Victorinox like or better ?

I compared this Ruike with a similar model in size and tooling, the Victorinox WorkChamp.
I am pleasantly surprised by the quality of the Ruike even though:
- there is no can opener (but which is more and more useless),
- the pliers has play at its axis,
- there is no semi-locking at 90 ° of the wide flat screwdriver,
- Ruike does not offer any sheath.
What is interesting with this Ruike:
- all tools, except the corkscrew obviously, are located on one side which means that the awl is in alignment, which is more convenient than placed at 90 °,
- the lanyard ring is retractable (with two notches of semi-locking),
- the knife blade is deployable and foldable with one hand and has two securities,
- the multi-tool is removable and has a belt clip (removable),
- the belt cutter and the glass-breaker.
I heard that the same factory manufactured the products Böker and Ruike: I chose a multi-tool Ruike for the reason of the alignment of the Phlilips screwdriver.
This Ruike is quite heavy but the tools are widely sized, the knife blade, the scissors, the pliers.
Note that the Phillips screwdriver is truncated which gives it a little less grip than the Victorinox.
For a few days now, the Ruike site has been inaccessible. But the range of its multi-tools appears on the Fenix site :

The Victorinox 4.0523.3 sheath fits well.
I read a review that the LD51 would be too big to fit comfortably in a pocket? No kidding, what about Workchamp? No, we can just say that it is heavy, heavier than the Workchamp. In addition, it has a pocket clip and can easily hang in a wide pocket of work pants or put on the belt.

I first saw the ruike on one of you videos, and I bought one… the play in the pivot point of the pliers was unbearable, it could even snag when I closed it.. but one tap on the river with a punch and hammer (and 8,000 cycles later) the play is gone and she works smooth. I saw in the paperwork an LD 61 which has a file, but I don’t think it ever made it to production, and that’s too bad, it would have given it every tool the work champ has (less the can opener). Overall, I really like it. I would have liked to see a few changes (thicker scissors like the Swiss champ, tighter pliers with a sharper more aligned point, tooth pick and straight pin in scales) but with the exception of the missing file, I think I think I can mod it to be what I want. I have question that’s totally off topic, what is the difference in blade thickness between a work champ and pioneer?

This Ruike is better than the Böker models (with a real Philips screwdriver) for the reason that Philips screwdriver and awl are aligned.

Regarding the lack of a can opener, I note that this Ruike has a very sharp punch (awl) that can open a tin can not have an opening ring or whose ring would be broken.

@@apmikalogran I have it, the quality is similar, but not exact, the Philips is slightly more polished and less sharp that a Victorinox, the pliers needed slight adjustment to eliminate play in the hinge, the scissors are not as thick at the base or handle… but the awl is fantastic, the one hand open blade is thicker than a victorinox work champ and the scales are more durable and can easily be removed and modded for extra functionality.

Oui, cher Hyun, ce Ruike est excellent. J'ai reçu une critique disant qu'il manquait un ouvre-boîte. Mais le poinçon (awl), vu sa forme, permet d'ouvrir une boîte de conserve non dotée d'un anneau d'ouverture, ce qui est de plus en plus rare. La lame de couteau à ouverture d'une main possède une sécurité à la fermeture, excellente. Ruike loosing the game. I have big Hands. I want to have a much bigger Cybertool L. Maybe 11cm close and with a 9cm Knife and Saw. The Cybertool L is the best Multitool ever. But much to small.

Negative. Victorinox Like. Ruike is inspired by the principle of the Swiss army knife by making changes and ensuring quality. Ruike's limited warranty is silent on the quality of these products, which is excellent.

@@edgarkrattiger9185 No, the limited warranty does not explain everything, it only explains commercial policy. Cheap tool brands have lifetime warranties. You confuse counterfeiting with what is only inspiration: you have to be blind to confuse a RUIKE with a VICTORINOX! RUIKE made in the quality, it is a choice and that gives quite high prices. BÖKER has its Swiss knives manufactured by RUIKE. The principle of the Swiss Army knife was not invented by VICTORINOX or WENGER, similar models existed before. Many famous cutlery makers have their products made in China or Taiwan. The lawsuit in copied products and of dubious quality made in China is the one that we did long before against Japan: you will have to get used to quality and innovative products from China!

These Ruike multi tools have the best tweezers of any multi tool on the market. Also the Ruike multi tools use stainless steel spacers instead of aluminum... much stronger. The knife blade on the Ruikes are slightly thicker than those on Swiss Army Knives... again much stronger without losing any cutting ability. (Plus the blade locks open) The Ruike multi tools are a "next generation" pocket tool, capable of withstanding more stress than Victorinox, so if you are depending on your pocket tool in a crunch, l would go with the better made Ruike. You can feel the quality as soon as you pick one up.
