Completely gutted and burnt to a crisp, these poor engines are seen better days. Can we bring them back to life and put them back in service? We'll find out here at the Back Shop!!

Buying trains is fun but making your model railroad (and your engines) your own is so much more satisfying and a cost-effective way to stay busy while not going broke. Great great video!!

Great video Johnny! Nice to see some new life in those geeps! I loved the Blunami sounds in the lead unit. Welcome to the late 70's and early 80's era of western railroading! You need some modern 50 ft. boxcars, 4427 and 4750 covered hoppers, maybe some bulkhead flats, and 53' gondolas. That should give you a good start on that era of freight cars. Thanks for sharing stories from your backshop! I look forward to see more! ~Ricky

Blunami seems like a much cheaper alternative to even the ERR boards. The sound files in DCC in general blow away anything the MTH or Lionel make in O Gauge. Good to hear that Blunami has great sound files as well. This one sounded pretty accurate. Has that EMD start up sound.

Fantastic. I might have to try blunami at some point. Seems like a good solution. The weathering on those engines was pretty severe! I thought you were going to say that they had actually been in a fire.
