In this video, we are going to take a really cool tour in southern Italy! Naples was the ninth stop on the Norwegian Jade, on the cruise we took through Italy, Croatia, Greece, Malta and Montenegro, in June 2019. Although Pompeii is more famous, the ruins of Herculano 🏛 are incredible and very well preserved and our video today is there, in Herculano, where you will see the main points of this wonderful archaeological site!
At the end of the video, there are all the tips for you to visit Pompeii and Herculaneum 🏛 on your own, by train from Naples.
Herculaneum 🏛 is squeezed between the sea and Mount Vesuvius, so the ashes hit the city harder and it was completely buried and preserved even better than Pompeii. Houses, spas and taverns are incredibly well maintained. It's much smaller than Pompeii, so you can visit everything in about 4 hours!
