Thursday 22nd July saw the third and final part of our order from Alan Keef Ltd in the form of two brand-new open coaches delivered to the railway. With the flat wagons and the new driving wheels for our steam engine Mad Bess having been delivered back in February we eagerly awaited the touchdown of the new coaches in the bright April sunshine. Then it was straight round to the works at Woody Bay where decals and numbers were added before the new coaches were shunted into one of our carriage sets.
All being well the first passengers will get to ride in the lovely new coaches on Sunday 26th April and this marks another large piece of investment from the RLR to help carry more passengers and allow even more people from the community to enjoy our railway.
