Sundowns will go even stronger than before ,, I remember when Pitso was failing to deliver @Sundowns , we wanted him to be fired we were tired of him. Then Manqoba was brought to Sundowns and things changed, nobody praised Manqoba but instead Pitso took all the glory. When Rulani came back to this team, Sundowns was already a very good oiled machine and he took over.. We saw him doing well because he was in the team like Sundowns where they buy you good players and you must do well ke... But manje usehambile uzozisola lomfana, ngoba nalo Pitso akenzi kahle kyimanje lakhona. So Sundowns is Sundowns and Sundowns will always dominate because there is always a plan kule team.

Agreed, Mangqoba is very crucial on how Sundowns players train and remain fit. But I don't think his tactical prowess can carry the team through the Champions league. Rhulani's strength is his tactical awareness, very dynamic and engages with players during the match. Some people even argue that Sundowns plays under him better compared when Pitso was at helm. And surely it plays better than when we had three musketeers. Sundowns will surely feel the shock of loosing Rhulani, especially the way he is leaving. The boy was just half-way with this project and the team was almost impossible to defeat it. I just don't like how Pitso, Steve and Rhulani left. Something really doesn't add up.

I'm puzzled by these insights, Sundowns is an institution, there are roles that each of those individuals play, and if Rhulani did not play his well, Sundowns has every right to fire him and hire who they want. Rhulani won the league practically in December but not mathematically.He had a chance to give young players and other fringe players a chance while resting players and preparing for other cups.Instead he chose to break league records.Trophies make coaches great.Good football and records are just cherry on top. Manqoba will also struggle to win CAFCL..Pirates plumber is no longer a push over for Sundowns. Chiefs ,AmaZulu ,Galaxy have foreign coaches who have potential to give Sundowns problems. Rhulani ,Manqoba and Steve have made winning seem so easy that Sundowns is taking winning for granted. Big budget does not guarantee results.

I’ve seen players arrive at Downs and struggle all season long but the coaches persisted with them despite haters. Maboe struggled for a long time and Pitso continued with him. I had to eat humble pie when I saw Maboe’s game change before my eyes. He became one of my favourite players and was a Bafana regular too. The same goes for Mvala who is now one of the best defenders in SA. Why the lack of patience when it comes to Lorch?! Not all players hit the ground running. It’s a versatile and demanding style of play at Downs. They’re going to the CWC because of it. So if Lorch was one of the reason, it was sadly shortsighted by the young Motsepe.

If Rhulani did something wrong according do the Sundowns Management they should've corrected him because they have lost gold there. They will never find another one like him. He was a forward thinking coach, young and only had the sky to keep on looking at, a modern coach who constantly wanted to learn. Rhulani is a rare talent, whether some like it or not. I'm sad for the National team. We're about to suffer now because the other teams failed to come to party. I don't trust Mangqoba at all. I watched the COSAFA CUP and how Mkhalele fails the Bafana and remembered how other South Africans thought he could do better than Broos. Mkhalele is a great guy but not a good coach, let's not lie to ourselves.

I think he meant that he influences if they stay or not. Because those same people develop the players to potentially play for first team. So I think he just means that he’s got influence, just even on having an opinion. And he was the head coach so at least what he says carries weight.
