Hello everyone! I am super stoked to release our first episode in volume two of our Rules Bites series. Herein, we will talk about the latest edition of Savage Worlds from Pinnacle Entertainment. I've long been a fan of Savage Worlds and, since we've just kicked off a Deadlands campaign on / mythbrigade , it made sense to tackle it before we dive into something more complex like Call of Cthulhu 7th Edition.
For our WFRP fans out there, don't despair, we're cooking up a few more episodes of that volume based on your feedback!
In this episode, we walk through the character creation process to give you a sense of how simple and fun the Savage Worlds process is. We'll learn about important mechanical elements like Hindrances, Traits, and Edges and wind up with a character that is ready to play!

Just want to say thank you, as someone who has never played this or any games like this I'm not ashamed to admit I had no idea where to start and a lot of other videos were long and hard to follow. Your guide was concise and got my character sheet to a point i can understand it and adapt it. Thank you for a great and interesting video, now onto playing!

Great Video. I like the succinct and clear way you explained things, and I always appreciate good humor which you employed to great 'bennie'fit. I do fear with his parry and toughness, Earl isn't long for this world. :(

This is the best character creation explanation I have seen it really helped! Now I just need one for SWADE Rifts so it explained the Iconic framwork a bit.

That is awesome to hear! I love how lean and flexible the system is!! We've used it for The Curse of the Black Ridge Mine, VILE Dawn, and -- more recently -- a series of horror one-shots.

Great job. I think I might have built this character with Jack of all Trades, to grant him some beginner's luck who despite being a tinhorn manages to earn his spurs pretty fast. I hope you are a dad cause you tell a lot of dad jokes.

Epic Video! nice guide to show to players when only i own the physical rules and they are new to the setting (plus we play online due to lockdown) btw whats the soundtrack in the background? very suiting choice

So glad you enjoyed! The soundtrack is licensed from Epidemic Sound. It's called Dark Tavern, I think. Pretty stoked about the versatility of their library -- something from every genre and a crap ton of sound effects.

Almost 6 minutes in before actual character creation began. That's the reason for my dislike and why I won't be viewing any more of your videos. I just thought it was fair to explain why I was giving a thumbs down, hopefully that makes it constructive criticism. Good luck with your channel and enjoy your gaming!

Thanks for the candid feedback, Billy. I understand your perspective and it makes sense. Our videos are as much about having a good time as they are for rapidfire instruction. We know that’s not for everyone and are OK with it. The gaming community is a huge one and there’s bound to be something out there for everyone! For those who want immediate access to the distilled rules at their own pace, I definitely recommend just referring to the books. They’ll have everything a player needs and very little else. Cheers!
