Oh how I miss those Interceptor Crown Vics. BEST POLICE CAR EVER! It held all of my stuff with room to spare. And it even fit huge Samoan guys in the cage in the back….barely….but it fit! Good luck trying to squeeze someone into the back of an Explorer with a cage. I’ve gotten claustrophobia something awful since retiring from law enforcement, Never had it before, but then I had an MRI in a closed tube and it panic-city!!! I checked out our new Explorer/Interceptors and they’re great for the officer/driver and they’ve come up with some really cool built-in stuff. But I sat in the back just normally without any handcuffs and I had to have someone open the door and get me outta there. They thought I was kidding--I was not. I was ready to break a window to get the hell out. It’s a very small, tight space.

wait, I thought all of the Crown Vics across the US were out of service by now? I’d heard that there was only one remaining Crown Victoria police car in operation, which was with the CHP in northern California; but I’m assuming by this video that there are still a few knocking around?

well, CHP currently has no more crown vics, but other cities and counties un CA still have HUNDREDS in service

LAPD has a lot just off the top of my head. Not too many on the frontlines necessarily.

Hell the LAPD still uses crown victorias from like 1998, the crown victoria is nowhere near dead and gone, just not being produced anymore and departments are upgrading
