In Konya, the 13th century capital of the Seljuk State, there lived a man, Rumi, the great Islamic scholar, mystic and poet who preached “Hearken to us for the story of humanity.” The series tells the story of this exceptional person, who lived 750 years ago, and narrates his poetry, aphorisms, the social and political events of the time, and of course his immortal masterpiece the Masnavi, which is still relevant today.
His search for truth and verity, two things still yearned for, the profound wisdom he reached through this sublime pursuit and his journey to the inner layers of the self make the show into an epic visual feast.

Irán tiene muchos poetas, pero desafortunadamente la traducción es difícil. Eché un vistazo a los poemas de Khayyam Neyshaburi en inglés y entendí que la traducción no es cierta, debes saber persa para entender estos poemas.

La poesía persa sigue leyes y tiene estructuras literarias extrañas que tienen un significado diferente con Te sugiero que escuches algunos versos en persa para entender el peso de la música.

Don't forget, This series is made by Turkish. Rumi was born in what is now Afghanistan and close to Iran. If they were to make this series (or 20 years ago) we may get a total different series, with different focus, accent or energies. There are many stories on Rumi and his life. Anyone who tells it, tells it from their perspective and the culturual/religious/political background of their country. We always get just a piece of the puzzle. No one holds the absolute truth.
