Y'know its funny, I noticed that you had bottled the air in the cars just as you realized and bled the cars off. One big thing that is stressed in Conductor training is never bottle the air so my railroader mind was going crazy lol.

The nice thing about it is that you can have an AI train spawn at, say, Needles, and the freight cars automatically be tagged for locals. It'll automatically hump the cars based on which locals they go to. Then, you can build local trains and attach some power and work the industries. Plus, you can have trains come in tagged for certain destinations instead of locals (a train to Oregon for example), and you can make eastbound, westbound, etc. road trains which either the AI can drive or you can drive if you want.

6:42 You can right click on a switch when Otto is dispatching and it will turn blue. When it's blue you can then throw the switch if no train is routed over it. Right click again to release the blue override

Could you have just released the train brake (with hand and loco at full), THEN cutoff the angle cocks? Or would you still need to bleed in that situation?

This is gonna sound mad crazy! But could you possibly show how to do a demonstrate into installing the Run 8 game? I’m new at this and haven’t bought it yet! From what I tell it looks good but my only problem is installing/getting it set up for you to play.. basically. See train simulator is easy to install this just looks extra harder 😅😂

Hey I just got run8 v3 and it runs really smooth on my computer but most of the maps that are on There the track is not there after I’m loaded in the game I’m not sure Why that is could someone please let me know it is not Worth $50 if you can’t play all that is on there

The Mother Unit should never be the Last unit for Humping "Mother Unit" (A mother is the Main Source of Traction Power) reasons why is there needs to be a Counter Balance Weight behind her Reasons Slugs were used to add Additional Weight and there Traction Motors to the backside spreading out the Traction Effort evenly It's why Mother Units can tiptoe at 5 mph and push or pull with Little to No Traction Effort, In real Life Mother Unit at the End of a Humper unit will make the Locomotive feel like it's Floating the Loss of Traction effort and make wheels spin more often do to the unbalanced Locomotive. I know Humping very well I was Hump Master for Conrail Enola Yard Harrisburg Pennsylvania for 22 Years my crew humped between 3 to 4 mph depending on the Freight car given they all don't act the same way to each other sometimes they get stuck together and you have to use a pry-bar tool to uncouple them. Railroad Freight Cars that never get Humped would be Loaded Coal Hoppers of any size, Well cars or Double stack, Loaded Auto rack's, Piggybacks with trailers on them, Scale Weight car's, Passenger car's etc. all because their mass balance can shift move given a lot of reasons of a False readout to the Scale Weight that gives info to Brake Retarders, That's why you don't see it in real life a Derailed loaded Coal Hoppers, isn't a wise outcome to Hump especially at the start of your ladder switches in most cases Open top hoppers never get humped. Locomotives should never roll through the Brake Retarders which were designated for Rail Cars only, if need be, only one Locomotive should roll through the Humper Unit reasons slug are far superior given the Mother Unit can switch the Slug Traction Motors off making them unpowered safe. Summer of 96 Allentown PA 2 Conrail C40-W rolled over the Brake Retarders in the yard resulting in a 3rd of the City Blackout due to positive discharge the Locomotives applied for 7 and a half hours when the feedback hit the Transformer. The Largest Hump Yards in the whole world at one time were used and operated by the Pennsylvania Railroad.
