One idea: I think if I was going to this, while I was in the business I would run the wire at the same time. I would place the wire in the pass-through before sticking the pass-through to the roof. Main reason being, it is going to be terribly difficult to stick a wire up through the hole in the roof and then make a 90º turn and hit the hole in the grommet, let alone go the other way from outside in and hit the hole going down. Then there is the problem with the pre-made cables that run from the antenna to the radio units. I hate cutting and splicing antenna wires, so pre-placing the wire would eliminate all that. Thanks for the well-done detailed instructions, HOWEVER - now that I have watched Countless roof installation, light, and accessory videos I still have not found a single one that shows the best route for routing the wires back to the engine/battery. Everybody shows passing the wire through the roof - the end. Or wiring the engine compartment - the end. Or passing wires through fire wall - the end, Can anyone give me a link to a video showing how to route wires from the battery or aux pod to the roof? Thanks,

Try red or gray scotch brite pads for scuffing parts like that in the future, much easier to get into the groove than sandpaper.
