TOGI BOK one of my happiest pictures ever is being held by Jay as a baby in New York with producer Larry Smith and guitarist Eddie Martinez in the background with my 80's rocking hair mother. Wish I'd been old enough to actually have a 'memory' of it. I do know the band said 'that baby's wild man, check out those eyes.' When glaring around a studio

Rockbox came out a year earlier in '84. For me, that was the big bang for rap/rock union, next level ish. Kind of Rock summited that mountain again. Those two are my favorite Run DMC jams for their trend setting. (Walk this Way tried to go in these footsteps, but wasn't close. Crossing over is tricky; could lose your identity.)

I often think what were the odds of that!? He was a gentleman and he even remembered me from the first flight mainly because of my name. The last flight was around 2011. I cherish those encounters with the Legend.

I love this song and yes it's real hip hop, but you got to admit they mix a lot of Rock guitar in it. I remember when rap was brand new it really sounded a lot like Disco. In the 80s rap came into its own kind of like rock and roll in the '50s.
