Brother great way of summing it up, I too share the same sentiment and I am also from the same golden age. My all-time favorite is Notorious BIG but ever since I heard RTJ, I have to put their body of work as number one. These guys are unmatched in Lyrics, production, beats, music videos, live performances, etc. I am a man who stands on my own two feet and I speaks for myself, however, RTJ speaks for me and to me. Best hip hop duo ever.

@@planetdustbowl4825 Very true! I was a big fan of his during his Company Flow years then as he made his way producing other artists, including his very own solo albums. (Cancer 4 Cure is extremely underrated.) However, something magical happened when he met and produced Mike’s RAP Music. Since then the two can do no wrong. Being a fan of them today reminds me of the way I felt back when I was a fan of RUN DMC. RTJ are the epitome of what hip hop should represent.

chawlie You must be joking...not even close. There's only one De La, only one Tribe, etc....No one is going to be talking about Kendrick Lamar or RTJ in 10 years....there will be other rappers/rap groups who will take their place who you all will again claim how dope, sick, and amazing they are

TheItalianStallion33 I think that RTJ will retain a legendary status in terms of underground hip hop especially if RTJ three is on the same level as the last two albums, they probably won't break the mainstream but hip hop heads will still love them in ten years. As for Kendrick I think he has already secured more than enough mainstream success and critical acclaim to be remembered in ten years, think this way we still remember busters like Ja Rule ten years on, Kendrick is way above his level as are RTJ!

You know there are many things i love about rtj but one of the biggest ones is how they let the song and the writing process determine whether they alternate full verses or stanzas or sometimes just couplets. Oh my is a perfect example cause they do a mix and the transition between el-p and killer mike verses is seamless.
