The greatest performance to have taken place on live television
@amy_grace3 жыл бұрын
I know their “just two MCs and a DJ” setup is a deliberate formalism thing and I respect it and 99% of the time it’s all I need from these dudes, but once in a while I come back to this video or I remember their first tour, and I wish RTJ played with a live band more often, because holy FUCK 👉🤛

lol that "live band" is TV on the Radio -- who are legends in their own right. It's like hey look Jimmy Fallon's backup band also put out records as "the Roots" I think they have a future.. lol

I'm too old to follow bands around the country night after night like I did back in the day but if RTJ and TVOTR ever did a tour as a combined act like this I would go to every show in every country. If Death Grips opened I don't know how I could might make it past show 15-20 without a brain aneurism from the happiness overload but I'd be dying with the biggest smile on my face
@jackporkins414 жыл бұрын
Death Grips, and, TV on the Radio played with De La Soul years ago. Def a show to see, would hate to miss something so original and sincere, if it were to happen again. Especially with Run the Jewels.
@TabethaAurochs3 жыл бұрын
@@jackporkins41 There's a very, very tiny list of things I wouldn't do to see Death Grips or RTJ live: 1) Shenanigans like the Jan. 6th storming of the Capitol 2) Eating mayonnaise End of list. (Death Grips and RTJ on the same ticket??? Obviously they're the openers for literal Armageddon... I'd eat mayonnaise.)
