Pastor Craig and his wife, Amy started Life.Church in a two-car garage in Edmond, Oklahoma in January 1996. Since then, Life.Church has grown to include dozens of locations all over the United States! Craig and Amy Groeschel married in 1991 and have six children. I even started comparing myself & my life to other Christians!!! Especially those that seemed more “spiritual” than me or like they had a closer walk with Jesus than me. I had to go to my father and say...thank you God that my walk doesn’t have to look like anyone else!!!

Guys... I just prayed to God the other day telling him I just realized that I compare myself to others too much. Like this is the thing that I just purposed to work on. I told him I don't know how to stop doing it, cause it's not like I can just shut my eyes and not notice all the things other people have. So much of the comparison is subconscious I only noticed when I moved into my first house this year cause I'd keep comparing it to other people's houses and feel like trash even though my house is a pretty decent one. I compare myself with others in everything I do. I don't change myself to conform to what they do (thank God for that) but I still feel bad if I'm different from everyone else. It's the main reason I don't use social media, cause I know the type of person I am. I don't even know where it started from, maybe it's cause we never had much and I couldn't help but notice all the things the other kids had that we didn't, or it's cause my siblings were over achievers and I was just an average kid, or cause everyone used to call me weird and strange. Well, whatever reason, now I know how to deal with it. Thank you Jesus.

I can relate so much to this. I have even committed myself to going to therapy so I can just deal with comparing myself to others. But I've found out that when I thank God for the things I have, the 'feeling' of comparison fades little by little. But it's not easy sometimes it takes little things like a post on social media to make me crumble and compare which then leads to discontentment. Maybe if you also try to thank God that you have a roof over your head, water to drink, food to eat, good health etc , it might help out. Much love 💕

Honestly, this is stuff I've heard many times, but its so interesting to hear it from a different perspective every time. Usually, I don't listen to Pastor Groeschel, but there something about this sermon that keeps reminding me that my identity doesn't come from people, but to trust in the true living God. I find myself constantly comparing myself with people, my friends included. I quit my job in January, cause God told me to; and now I don't have a job and I feel like everyone else is moving on in their life, career, relationships and I'm just here stagnant. I'm angry that I'm jealous of people but I still compare myself to them. Social media makes it worse, with people posting their achievements and I'm depressed that I can't show mine off too. Thank you Lord for this word. Deleted my social media platforms until I find complete satisfaction in Christ. I am fixing my eyes on Jesus only

Senior n highschool , i struggled with this especially my junior year because i didnt have a job and wasn't able to drive but i am slowly starting to realize that (ecclesiastes 3) there is a time for everything . My time will come . I have been stressing out about what school (college) I should go to but then my spirit says don't worry about tommorow for it has its own worries , but serve god today and i ask yall pray for me and i wait on god to lead my path‼️🙏🏽
