When the market is down, that's when you invest! That being said, always invest in valuable items that will retain their value (at least for the foreseeable future) such as bonds, bik book pages, divine charges, runes, and the like :)

Im saying this is just basic market fluctuation. Nothing "crash" about here. Edit: Yea, and imagine when people want to continue playing the main game with their FSW accs after they are converted. They wanna buy all the gear and codecies that account that they were not able to get in the FSW cuz of skillgap ie: T99 prayers, mazcab, grico... that is going to drive the prices back up. As i said, its just masket fluctuations.

Fsw will cause more gp inflation then the items coming in, sure some stuff will go down for the short term, but the money being made farming capes halos etc will massively out pace the migration imo. There is a lot of factors you are not taking into consideration. Look at zammy a few drops are up a certain one breached 100m which was impossible to sell at a few weeks prior. Also we now will have lots more accounts at end game pvm/skills creating a lot more demand. It’s not gunna be an across the board economy crash way to vague. More inflation and more accounts even if there alts it doesn’t matter there still able to access certain time gated content for a new account. Thing to remember is 99% of the time the speculation is worse than the event itself

More items into the market will mean the prices should drop. Everything was crazy high. Its better to have this happen. Im okay if i take a little loss now, and have prices on everything be better for the future of the game. Inflation hit RS crazy hard. Remember when it was hard to make a mil? Now you can go kill Kera NM and have a mil after 2 kills. Even on a Zammy story run the other day I made 3m from it. I like making money easier but I dont like when items are in the billions.

It is very reasonable to assume that a lot more items in relation to GP will eventually enter the economy. It also makes sense why Jagex would come up with this event; it's to control inflation. The way they do it, though, is very... unorthodox. This isn't a careful and steady way to control it; this is a one-time big influx of transferring everything people can make in the span of 6 months in to an economy. I firmly believe that rare drops will decrease in value the most, followed by all sorts of everyday items, followed by bonds only having volatility for a time, but ultimately keeping most of its value _(as it's tied to real-life currency),_ and the value of GP going up. If you've invested in long-term bonds like me, I think this is a good time to steadily sell most of them. _EDIT: I also suspect that this attempted control of inflation will go a bit out of hand and that Jagex will come up with some kind of ad hoc stimulus packages, causing some inflation after deflation. Basically there's going to be complete mayhem in the market, so don't sell all of the bonds._

I don't think that much new gp will be coming from FSW, it took decades of inflation for gp to get diminished as much as it has, the go in FSW is worth a lot more because there's a lot less of it. Not sure about expensive items though.

i think what has happened is the people who were pushing up prices have switched to FSW and putting money in there. When the FSW is done you will see the prices rise again because all that money will return.

honestly the crash might not be bad thing overall in terms of players and gameplay. a crash would be especially good for bonds as 60-50m is a lot of gp and time to farm for players maintaining membership through bonds. some of the t90 items and gear could become an easier purchase for entry of players getting to higher level pvmhigher level pvm. stuff like the the ascension crossbows.

Not that many people are getting nox scythes from what I've seen.

Keep an eye on Arch Glacor items. 90% of players in FSW are camping it for alchs and charms. Can't even sell wen pages for 5kea in FSW because of this lol

People are using their items like as if it were ironman so this video is a bit cap. IF anything people will be buying like crazy... then people coming back going for 120s will be buying like crazy again.

iv not paid much attention to the economy since FSW. been neglecting my main. I think it'll go back to normal as people give up on FSW and return to their mains. I dont think the majority will see the whole 4 months through. maybe 40% will, but that's just me speculating. im hoping cryptbloom drops so i can get a set for cheep in the 3rd month. its too early to say yet. we're only half way through the first month.

The reason a lot of high value items are dropping, is because people want to sell in order to swap for FSW gold. It has nothing to do with the FSW items entering the main game, because ultimately the drop benefits that are about to come (still havent even dropped yet in FSW) aren't even near enough for the weeks of preparation time it takes for people to acquire gear to boss.

I am so lost, what does the material in the new world have to do to the the actual game? the only thing they are transferring is non tradables.

I’d like to know how this merge is going to affect the game, bonds are legit 2.5m to 3m on FSW, what’s stopping you stocking bonds in FSW and then reselling when you merge back to main game for 50m+?

He is forgetting that almost everyone on fresh start worlds is a rs3 player and not a new player. So these items are not coming into rs3 atm cuz people are playing fsw. Besides keeping ur momey liquid, there are items that are not affected. And those set items might even be purchased with money made from fsw making them rise. Im talking about discontinued items

I disagree. When FSW ends many rares will be sold. Commonly crazy rich merchants will buy them out in speculation. This money is then likely used for investments in end game content (pvm gear, unlocks, supplies, etc) by those incoming FSW players. Nonetheless, this is due in months.

Dam I new I should have a bought and sold around 20 bonds when they were over 60m. Been playing osrs and havent touched rs3 main for a cpl months.

EVERYTHINGS CRASHING.. most of these items have dropped between 1 and 5% in the last month. thats hardly a CRASH! its just market fluctuation based on tier and updates. Nox staff went up when a change to gchain happened i think, now its going down again. Bonds fluxuate based on OP treasurehunter promos. no promo? cheaper price. Cywir wand is easy to AFK farm and is a lower tier item, so theres more supply than demand for a T80 weapon.. I dont think the market will change at all when FSW merge, most people playing FSW have maxed mains. they wont keep playing the FSW account once it merges.

Isn't this going to spike discontinued rares like Golden Party Hat and Green Santa Hat? People with over max cash can now no longer store extra wealth in all of these high-value crashing items, so they need other non-crashing items into which to put their excess wealth, right? Maybe Jagex knows this?

cheeeeesr but danggggggggggg~ i mean i havent bought or invested into true gear outside of perfect 120 slayer grind gear and my t90s but mannnnnnnnnnnnn also true~ this new version will be wild but also i honestly dont know HOW MUCH itll actualy be pushing things with how muchll be farmed. but itll be wild with the boosts and how much more efficiently some people/grounds WILL be able to blitxz farm stuff with full boons especialy in hieghtend end weeks with the buffs yep. cheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeers

This is not going to end well. They should have done like osrs where you use your main on special worlds and the worlds are all deleted at the end along with all the items, gp, xp.

tbh they need to find some way to reset the market and try to help against the hyper inflation in the game, ive been playing fsw and i like the reset much more than the main servers

I personally think prices are tanking because the game is losing players. There's a surplus of items and the demand is getting lower resulting in price crashes. People may not be buying bonds because players are leaving? I do think fsw bringing items over at the end of the mode putting the final nail in the coffin for most pvm items. Unless the game pulls in new players, the market will stay stagnant. 😬
