My husband and I would play this song, every Friday night before we went out to our favorite beach bar. He died this week. The day after, I was standing in line at the Target pharmacy, waiting to pick up a prescription. This song came on. I don't remember ever hearing music in Target before. I think this was his way of contacting me. We were married 58 years.

Benmont (Benjamin Montgomery) Tench has been w Petty since the beginning. Very soft spoken gentleman who turns into a beast on the keyboard. If you go back into the catalog, he’s a big part of the magic on every song. Don’t Do Me Like That sounds like they wrote it to put him out front. Whole band is in top form on this one. Why do you say that about Mike? Just because he is not a household name like Clapton, Page or Hendrix? Mike is not underrated at all. He is an amazing guitarist. Anyone can hear that.

A C M to say a guitarist is underrated is actually a compliment, there are many in this category. Mike is one of them and he’s fantastic (a guitar player myself) His work is amazing the way he works this solo into this song-just perfect 👌

I used this song for my son's High School Football team's "Running Highlights Reel", and I got grief for it - 13 years ago. Now as the boys and parents are older guess what!? EPIC i'm told. KZfaq stripped it of course, but I still have it on my hard drive and will post to VenMo this year. It stands the test of time and will do so 50 years from now!!! Petty running down a heavenly dream. Mike Campbell!!! Props!!!

Sometimes I seem to forget just how great Tom Petty was. This concert reminds me very quickly just how great he was. One of the best. RIP Tom you brought a lot of beauty into this world. I was lucky enough to see him 3 times. When he did this concert in Gainesville my wife was undergoing a bone marrow transplant at Shands in Gainesville and unfortunately we were so caught up in her that I didn't even realize he was playing. It was only until a few years later when I saw this on you tube that I figured out what I had missed. Still kick myself in the ass over that one. My wife she's still kicking and is even more pissed than me that we missed this while only a few blocks away.
