What an accomplishment to put all this together! I have one of the once wild Mustangs from the range in Oregon. He had been rounded up at 2 1/2 years and sold at auction. A gal trained him fairly well and I bought him when he was 10. He became my trail horse, and we rode all day in the nearby forest in WA. That horse always knew which trail led home, no matter how many we had traversed that day. He is 24 now. Keep up the great work! That is an amazing place you have created!

What a beautiful soul this man has!! I thank GOD every day for sending you to save our beautiful mustangs!! I saw a herd of wild horses years ago as we were driving out of Winnamucca, Nevada 😊. We stopped and took pictures until the big black stallion decided we were a threat to his herd and charged us!! We quickly got back in the car and drove off slowly with him Watching until we were out of sight! I’ve never forgotten that thrill I felt, actually seeing mustangs living free and wild!!!

I would love to know how many doctors have told their horse loving patients that they're allergic to horses! Personally, I've heard it from 2 so far and my neurosurgeon shook his head and said "I will never understand horse people. It doesn't matter how seriously they're hurt or how they got hurt the only thing they're worried about is how long before they can ride" at more than one appointment. It's amazing when you find a doctor who has seen the physical benefits of riding horses and yet that doesn't include the psychological and spiritual benefits of just being with horses.

I may never own Land of my own. However, after talking to my brother and dad I told them they should rescue a couple wild horses. To me wild horses are the most beautiful creatures God has ever created. They took my advice. Every chance I get I go to the farm and each time I go I get closer and closer to the wild horses. They are still young. One of them I can actually brush and put a harness on and off. He is absolutely gentle and beautiful. In a few years he will be ready to ride. Fiona is a different story. She will come near if you have hay but she is spooked easy but that is to be expected. It will take some time. The worse thing to do is push to hard to fast. The relationship between a horse and human is based on trust and love.

When it comes to destroying the land, I'll take a herd of horses before. Cattle. Cattles run over EVERYTHING in site. Horses leave most areas intact.

Hello mr Dayton I commend your many talents and great resolve to do meaningful work such as this wild horse and land conservation. This is a fantastic documentary beautifully crafted & relatable content without being either too soft or too strident. I hope the horses on your sanctuary will continue to run free and proud for many long generations to come. Such endeavours are needed all the more when there is so much to loathe about modern mankind’s many demented and destructive ways, showing those with open hearts how to be better to ourselves and the other life this planet has made possible. He has been successful beyond belief. Feral horses now are 4 to 5 times the numbers set as their ranges being able to sustain in the Wild Horse and Burro Act. They are basically out of control at the detriment of other land uses. No one wants them to go away, but something drastic need to be done to get numbers under control or nature will take care of the problem (rather cruelly, as it always does).
