pretty sure its a safety thing. easier to drag someone out of a car with unopenable doors so they dont gotta shatter a window or something dont qoute me tho

@@mrapexunicornhunter661 yes, that and drag isn't that big of an issue when drifting, cars aerodynamics are at their best when going forward, once you put a car sideways you essentially increase the drag because you are now pushing a "wall" against the wind. Pardon my english, it is not my main language.

Smoke fills up in the cabin pretty easy on these older cars through small holes and cracks and gets stuck if windows are up. but also just feels better when doing tight drifting or tandem drifting with other cars because you find yourself looking out of the window lots or close to the window and the G forces bounces your helmet off the windows. and of course just better information listening to the tires, the road and other cars. you find yourself just rolling down the windows when doing this kinda stuff without even thinking about it it just feels better. or at least this is how its for me and my friends.
