Runway 34 tells the turbulent tale of Captain Vikrant Khanna, played by Ajay Devgn, a flying prodigy whose flight takes a stirring and mysterious trajectory after take-off from an international destination. Consequently, it follows the tenacious Narayan Vedant, played by Amitabh Bachchan, in his pursuit to uncover the truth.

I loved the movie. The movie was not at all exaggerated, no extra romantic songs on the hillside just to the point. Very inspirational movie... I wish to watch this movie again in theater such was the choreography and the acting. Hats off ajay sir and team.. great respect for you. I wish great success for this film

😂 died laughing...never knew AAIB had a courtroom drama. Tried to imitate hollywood film 'flight' and 'Sully' but desperately failed. Now put the blame on dr.strange. This devagn clown does pathetic acting. No wonder even remakes fail utterly.

worst approach to an event that actually happened. offcourse there will be changes and it should not be exactly like it happened. but this movie is beyond everything. why tf co-pilot is female in this movie which was actually male. because hindi movie a female character is mandatory without any context. this could've been a great movie if the crew had a different and realistic approach to the story

Anyone who wants to compare this movie to Sully or Flight, please watch the movie first, then search for Runway 34, Jet Airways flight 555 doha to kochi. The story IS NOT based on Flight or Sully.

Bestttt movie of the year! What an acting Ajay, Amitabh and rakul ufff! I was literally into the movie like I was travelling inside the plane my heart was on my mouth, gosh superb story, dialogues, body language, bgm, direction all 10 on 10! A must watch movie! I just randomly went to amazon prime and saw it today, didnt know about this movie if I had known earlier i would have seen long back and made everyone close to me to watch it! ❤️ Totally loved the movie! Ajay and Amitabh sir both acted so well!!! ❤️❤️🤩

Okay then, lets see what Bollywood has to offer us. Excited for this. I guess the story is inspired by multiple real life flights like Doha-Kochi and Dhaka-Kathmandu. Doha Kochi was a bad weather incident, Dhaka-Kathmandu had Captain who smoked in cabin during descent.

This doesn't mean they're all the same in direction & portrayal unless claimed by the film-maker. The skills of artists who have made honest efforts to make a good film differ and so does the audience. Kindly avoid putting different colours in the same bucket just because you can't look at things with a fresh approach.

The film is inspired by the true story of the Jet Airways Doha-Kochi flight. The incident took place in 2015 when the flight had a narrow escape after facing difficulties to land at the airport due to bad weather and unclear visibility. The pilots had to make a ‘blind’ landing on the runway without actually having to see it. This almost risked the lives of 150 people present onboard, and as a result, the captain was demoted to the rank of co-pilot.

yes they have performed 3 go arounds in total above cochin, due to less visibility, they diverted to trivandrum, where the ils approach system wasnt in service, which they had to only go for a visual approach, due to less visibility in trivandrum also, they had to perform another 3 go around over trivandrum, and in the last attempt , where the had no chance to go around again due to very less fuel, they made a huge bank to the left ( which triggered the bank angle warning ) at 50ft when they finally saw the runway...and they landed safely...huge respect to the captain of that flight...but the only mistake the safety board got concerned about was why didnt he divert to bangalore and chose trivandrum....

That's what the makers claim. But there was no such accident or incident of any kind. The landing was smooth. The reason for the controversy was low amounts of fuel when the aircraft landed. The flight should have had 1500 Kg of fuel but only had 250 Kg of fuel left. That was the cause of concern and believe it or not...theoretically the Commander is responsible for the fuel. The movie however seems more inspired from "Flight" and "Sully".

Whoi said Ajay can't direct a film! Shivaay has the best action sequences Bollywood has ever seen, best VFX too. Bholaa was good too, but over the top. And Runway 34 was a perfect package.

Ultimate....directed by Ajay Devgn himself....And for the first time in Ajay Devgn movie, we will see an actor even more senior than him... Amitabh Bachchan....watching it again and again, It made me think who is right and who is wrong....I mean Amitabh Bachchan is always right (like in Chehre, Badla...) and Ajay Devgn is also always right (like in Drishyam...), looking at his expression in the end, he looks honest and right..... but there is Amitabh Bachchan....mystery continues till it releases 29th April..... excited for it

When you cut a 3 minute plus long trailer and still you don’t reveal a lot, keeping the viewers intrigued. It’s a masterstroke! The trailer really makes me excited to watch it on the screen. Also the visuals are amazing and the casting doesn’t even need to be mentioned ! Runway 34 should be a must watch as far as the trailer goes! Hopefully the movie has the right balance between extravagant visuals, a good storyline and ample suspenseful moments!

Absolutely brilliant movie that everyone should see at least once-ignore comments about it looking like Sully etc. I am very fussie when it comes to movies and with most bollywood movies, I would watch 20 mins from one movie and then 20 from another to pass time till I complete a movie after several days, as they are very monotonous these days. But, I watched this movie from start to finish in one go. I didn't even realise Ajay directed the movie but the direction +acting in this movie was mindblowing. Probably, the best Bollywood movie I have seen this year with substance, with most focusing on doing a sequel and not offering much in the way of acting performances. If Ajay can read this, please take Tiger Shroff under your tutelage and make a movie as he has nice physique but need to learn some acting and you can really unlock his true potential.

(Star rating will be out of 5) Thrill - ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Suspense - ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Direction - ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Acting - ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Feel (It matters person to person) - ⭐⭐⭐⭐ See everyone has their own taste and genre for watching movie, Like I loved the movie some may not because they don't have interest. So now let's talk about 1st and 2nd half, 1st Half - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ You will not leave you seat it has amazing scenes and mysteries. You have to also watch this carefully. 2nd Half - ⭐⭐⭐⭐ It's a but stretchy but here the mysteries will get clear and you will enjoy it but here are some technicalities. So do watch the film properly. At last, I would like to conclude that the movie was overall superb and these kind of movies should be made in bollywood. This Movie can be seen by anyone which is also a + point. But, as we know that the collection of this movie is affected by Tollywood movie this movie will remain as underrated.
