Tbh Plastique is correct. She already has 3. It doesn't matter if she gets a forth or fifth, what does matter is people with 2 badges getting that third one, because in order for someone with 3 badges to never qualify for the finale, is by having 3 people with at least 4 badges, and with only 3 episodes left its going to be very difficult, for 3 people to have more than 4 and someone like Plastique not qualify, so block the other bitches, so that you might stand a chance.

I think this is what Jaida tried to convince them to do on AS7 when she was ahead, but I don’t think Jaida explained it in this way to where it seemed like a good strategy for anyone besides herself. But of course all strategy in AS7 was rendered null and void by the end anyway 🙃

It makes sense in theory, but it's a bad strategy because it basically guarantees Plastique the crown. If they back off and don't block her, she'll freely rack up wins and likely have the best track record in the finale. With both the best track record and the fan vote she obviously has on lock, there's ZERO chance she doesn't win. They really need to block her asap. I'd rather risk not making the finale, over making the finale against a Plastique who never got blocked and probably has 5 or 6 wins and is #1 in the fan vote, meaning we all wasted our time coming here. Honestly, not blocking the toughest competitor at every chance, we saw how that turns out when they didn't block Jinkx every week on AS7 😅

The Mexico episode was an absolute smash amongst Mexicans, it really feels more authentically Mexican compared to temporada 1. The cast feels really strong.

We just need to give Taiga a chance and remember that international seasons are made for the fans in their respective countries. They’re not targeted towards us Americans, and we have to remember that sometimes. Mexican fans do not feel the same way about Valentina as American fans do. It makes sense to put a native Mexican in as host to appease the majority of the fans, the target audience. Lolita was main host last episode; let’s see how Taiga does next episode when it’s her turn.

Agreed! The only thing I disagreed with was the elimination as I don't think she even deserved a low placement, but this cast is 10/10 and they gave one of the strongest collection of looks I've seen in ages. Lipsync was GOD TIER too

As a French fan and seeing what have come out about her, i feel obliged to inform you about some stuff about Leona Winter. First of all, Leona's lipsync in the musidrag was really out of synch with the lyrics so she shouldn't have been in the top even though she gave it at all but I agree with what you said about Ruby. Leona is a quite controversial queen in France for a few reasons but most of them circle back to one thing, racism. She had a reputation of following and supporting a far right political party with a history of any discrimination you can (mostly racism and antisemitism). She said it was a previous manager who did that to get revenge but as she said on the episode, her husband (whom she met at 8 and got with when she was 15 and him 38) so we know it's a lie. In The Switch S2 called Gia a Chinese clown (and Gia is Japanese so...) and did also a black face to perform the Jackson 5. She is banned from multiple famous French and Parisian parties/events for her attitude and all, that's why so many of us French viewers are mad to see how much favoritism she gets when she has that much of reputation (and let's be real her looks in the ball weren't top-worthy, even queens from DRF 1 and 2 agree with that. Fun fact, it's HEAVILY rumored that she will fight with Kiddy on the main stage because she will wear dreads for an "African" look on the runway.

@@scarlettsyanide My boyfriend is friends with many queens and from what they've heard, if the casting is the bit off because some queens (like Leona) have some unsavory stuff floating around them, it's because people from the US/people from WOW got involved with the casting process "to reproduce the magic of season 2" when for the previous seasons the casting was done by people who really knew the french drag scene. IMO, the S3 curse is just WOW messing with the whole process of international season when they see that they are doing great.

On top of that, I feel like there's something that maybe doesn't translate really well in english: Leona is very irritating in the workroom. She has a very "main character" energy, but not in a good way. It's like she knows (or more like she thinks) that she's the best, but she tries to hide it by forcing herself to be nice and humble. Like it's hard to describe and no hate towards her, but everytime she speaks it FEELS fake. Looks like other queens spotted that, especially Ruby this week with some of the remarks she said

My favorite thing about the first episode of Mexico season 2 was the fact that half of those girls didn't really know how to sew. I also thought Ignus should've been the one called safe over Suculenta, mostly because she was one of the few girls who did her makeup well. Shocked Luna wasn't in the top, i thought she had two of the cleanest looks, her Roots look was my favorite of the night.

As a french person, to me the best as the Celine Dion Rusical were BY FAR Ruby, Lula and Le Filip. Lula is representing the Eurovision 1988 and its basically the same look, and yeah shes the one who makes me the most emotional.

We will have to see, but the difference between Angie and Roxxxy is that Roxxxy was intentionally dismissing Angeria and not allowing her to explain her reasoning for cutting her off, which is 1)stupid because you’re “SO MAD” but you won’t allow the same grace when you were crying the previous episode from cutting someone, 2)ridiculous bc Roxxxy cut her back purely for revenge & 3)just very disrespectful tbh. If I were Angeria I would’ve yelled in her mf face lmao. Roxxxy got off easy tbh like you’re a 40 YO in a wig grow tf up and act like it. Her behavior the last two episodes have definitely reflected her past self from season 5 (over 10 years ago) which is sad considering that she hasn’t seemed to mature (mentally) in any particular way

I actually think Mexico was really good this first episode. I didn’t agree with who went home but the editing and the episode felt fresh and the queens are great! It feels like a step up from season 1. Which they need because they have competition from another drag series. But idk what it sounded to English bc in spa ish it was great

I’m okay with Valentina being replaced. She’s not really Mexican. She’s Mexican-American, so a lot of the references last season flew over her head. I think it’s a smart choice to replace her with the queen of the universe winner, since she is Mexican and knows the references. I will miss her stunning runways though. But there’s no real reason for her to host it when WOW has plenty of eligible Mexican born and raised queens within the franchise. Having a said all that, that mug and beauty will be missed!

regarding Valentina being replaced: several things come to mind - 1) James Leyva is himself not Mexican, being born in SoCal Though his parents are); 2) Spanish is logically not his first language, growing up in California - and his slight accent shows it; 3) Taiga Brava won QotU Season 2, and as an actual native Mexican wold logically be a major coup for DRM to grab as a host; In the end can anyone blame the producers of DRM for focusing as much on core Mexican angles for everything? Makes perfect sense to me. I mean DRPhil cast Jiggly, but not many Americans realize Jiggly is a native of San Pedro, Laguna - Phillipines (I always that Pao was referring to Laguna Californis, until I looked it up! LOL). Challenge this year is can Taiga match Valen-tinta's amazing looks form last year?

Everyone loved the first episode over here in Mexico, i agree that they look at the teleprompter too much while talking, but its really well received. Valentina was a fine host, but her personality was not showing cause of her language issues and honestly it was awkard, Taiga did fine, lets see how much better she gets.

DRMEX2: I loved the premiere! Very promising season with interesting characters. DRFR2: They critiqued Leona about everything only to make her Top 2? Le Filip and Norma should have been Top 2. She was brilliant in terms of looks and general attitude, but could be viewed unfortunately as a Carpetbagger. Mexicans are reasonably historically sensitive to American cultural Imperialism. If the producers of DRM can find an ever bigger, authentic Mexican queen to host, I would expect them to grab it.

Mexicans are super nationalistic and hate foreigners not born in Mexico (to represent them in any medium) but will take any blue eyed French or Spaniard under their wing as long as they live in Mexico and constantly affirm their love for Mexico. Valentina’s only downfall was not choosing to live in Mexico. Not constantly affirming how much she absolutely loved loved loved Mexico. Clock that tea. I say that as a Mexican btw. Valentina was perfect for international viewers and only Mexicans had an issue bc she didn’t live in Mexico. The Spanish could’ve gotten better but it’s their/our extreme nationalism that blinds them.

Mexico will take any blue eyed French woman over a Mexican American any day and call them real Mexican bc “el Mexicano nace donde quiere” a very popular saying in Mexico is that any non Mxcan is Mexican despite where they are originally born. Mexicans just needed constant affirmation that she (Val) fully embraced being Mexican moreso than her being a USA native and she had to live in Mexico for Mexican audiences to accept her. That’s what all the European actors do when they want to make it big in Mexico (ie Hollywood capital of Latin America) they say Mexico is their fave place in the world and no other place they rather be and omg your the next Mexican Julia Roberts.

That is interesting. I feel like we’ve been getting the same jokes and constant quotes from old drag race seasons, so this was refreshing to me and a callback to early seasons. Thanks for expressing your opposite opinion respectfully.

I also think people aren’t blocking plastique because she hasn’t been snipping people so she’s flown under the radar because they probably assume it’s a lip sync for the crown and she hasn’t won a lip sync yet so even if she is in the finale they probably feel like they will beat her easily

I think Angeria may have taken into consideration who she is most likely to beat in a lip sync if the title comes down to a lip sync battle.

I lowkey think “Angeria 2.0” could win in a lipsync against anyone in the cast. Especially when it seems like a lot of them aren’t learning the words and she always has them down.

That would be a HUGE mistake lol. Lipsync is irrelevant in All Stars, even in the finale. Honestly, the winner has *lost* the final lipsync just as much if not more often than they've won, iirc: Trixie, Trinity(tied Monet who clearly smoked her in the lipsync), Jinkx(rip Monet), even Alaska lowkey lost to Detox imo but that was closer than the others. Might be forgetting some but off the top of my head I can only remember Shea & Kylie Sonique clearly winning their lipsyncs.

I feel like the turnover rate for the non-US seasons is so much faster. We heard about Michelle being the host of down under like 2 months ago and we likely won't see the season for another eight. But Valentina was announced not to be part of Mexico 2 like a month ago I feel and the seasons already out

What I don’t like about the all stars seasons is that it feels like queens who do good get punished, in the sense that they have to block or send a person home if they win the lip sync, and that makes them enemies. Whereas queens who win but don’t have to block or send ppl home, make no enemies and that works in their favor. So…why would you want to win the lip sync?

Something about a franchise changing host almost feels like a detriment to the series for me. Since it’s only season two for Mexico it’s not as terrible, but it’s definitely strange and it’s also just confusing. It’s giving Valentina’s replacement, which Taiga is, but had she been there since the beginning the expectations would be set and there would be some type of standard. Co-hosts to me are also just… weird. If Lolita was just the main panel judge like Michelle it would feel a lot more uniform and less messy.

It was smart to block Mik cause they can win a lip sync at the end. I would do everything I could to make sure Nina and Plastique make it to the finale so you only have to worry about beating one girl instead of 3 🤭

Personally i though Jorgeous was hilarious and she took ru's multi-slap and ate it up i disagree about the chair and her not amping it up when she did it with the slap take which was one of the best .

Shannel's wig may have been too small for her face/body to balance out the look, but the 18th Century hair styles started out small (see Madame Pompadour, mistress of Louis XV and original 18th Century diva, as well as early portraits of Madame Du Barry, Louis XV last mistress. I think Shannel’s lewk was pretty, and the hair was actually fine for the period. I don’t think it was supposed to be Marie Antoinette. The dress looked like it was from a slightly earlier age before things got really out of hand. I’d say this is giving me a Viennese look around the mid to late 1700s…. Like something her mother might have worn. But sure, maybe for her face the proportion could have been larger.

DR France’s celine rusical had so much potential it’s sad that most of the girls didn’t perform well. i think with more time the queens could’ve nailed it, but very disappointing. the only queens that even gave theatrics and energy was le filip, ruby, and norma. leona might’ve looked the part but she wasn’t even in sync with her lines

Leona in France clearly was behind on some of the lipsyncing in the rusical. Her being top 2 made no sense to me at all. Fully thought this was Ruby’s redemption episode and getting the win.

Am i the only one who thinlss plastique is intentionally losing the lipsync so she doesnt block anyone so she doesnt get blocked i mean throughout both lipsyncs she just stops lipsyncing ... i mean maybe im giving her to much credit but shes a smart cookie
