The pin cushion is a tomato with a tiny strawberry attached. The strawberry usually is filled with sawdust to remove rust from pins. Very common here in the USA.

apparently the reason that pin cushions are tomatoes is that it is believed that placing a tomato on the mantel of a new home ensured prosperity by warding off evil spirits, and a red ball of fabric filled with sawdust was used when tomatoes were out of season/not readily available lol

At least here in the US.lol (I don’t feel like looking it up either…just going off of my experience and what others have said over the years.) My Granny was a seamstress and her pin cushion always had different color pins and I loved helping her sew.

for as much as the judges say they want couture on the runway, they just want theatrical. nymphia's was the couture one this episode, even the supermodel said so. but the more theatrical one won.

i feel like also the tiktok version of "bloody mary" also put Plasma at a disadvantage to M'hiya, if it was the regular version I think she would've had more of a chance/fair fight, the tiktok version allowed M'hiya to do moves that would most likely not be as effective in a slower song. Still sad to see Plasma leave, also saw her making it to top 4/5, maybe even the finale.

I have feelings about this episode and you girls voiced them more than any other reaction video I've watched. First, I appreciate Saphirra's motherly kindness towards Myi'ah, BUT if you chose to come on Drag Race with little to no sewing experience, that's on you. It's a competition and I don't feel it's fair to the other girls for someone to get that much help, especially at this point in the game. Second, I totally agree with Portia that Q's garment isn't really Goth, you would not see any Goth girl in something like that. Yes, it's absolutely incredible and I give Q her flowers, but not the win. I think Nymphia should have won with Dawn and Morphine top 2 and 3, if you're sticking to the challenge. Plasma is too much of a preppy theatre kid, its clear she didn't have any bank of reference for gothic style other than "black n white". Like none of those pieces worked together, its just what she had in black and white print and it shows
