Meditation though a wonderful peaceful and enlightening experience is not enough, and not lasting. Meditation will not change your character because your character is comprised of beliefs, habits, programming, and conditioned behaviors. Meditation plus knowing thyself will improve your life.

I think Rupert should use simpler words and less explaining and more intruction on how to achieve it. I my concern roots at the Atma Vichara method, which I used for a long while. It helped me uncover many things with which I identified, it was a useful stepping stone, but at one point you have to give up the "I am" or "Who am I" search, and drop to less "word based" realms, like those of sensation. Focusing on sensation, the breath, etc, takes you out of your mind-thought stream and allows you to relax physically, grow inner calmness and have deeper insight.

I like Rupert Spira, but why do these guys always have a setup that looks like a late night Iranian talk show? Is it a rule?
