Rupes New cordless HLR15 warranty work by Rupes. returned. 2024 replaced with new.

My roof has polisher was used only for a short amount of time and had stopped working on me and I had to contact Rupes to set it up for a return. it took about 3 weeks and they sent a new model out to me to replace the bad one. cordless HLR15 iBird. my reaction.

Update to my similar situation: Rupes diagnosed a failed power unit and sent me a new polisher within 4 days. So far so good on the new one and my 21mm which has had no issues. I'm sure they will get the root of the problem(s) fixed soon enough and will continue to provide excellent support. I'm still extremely happy with my purchases, but my corded machines aren't going anywhere.

I had a similar problem with my HLR15 (my HLR21 is still going strong though). Sent it in to Rupes for repair/replacement late last week. I'm sure they will make it right and likely know the cause of the issues. My guess is they have probably already rectified it for the current units in production and will continue to stand behind the ones impacted by the issue.

But it has far less power/torque than mk2/mk3. Hlr21 is better and on bar with the 21 mk3. Also you cant use speed 5-6 after 50% battery. Major dissapointment...

Why would you use it at speed 5 or 6 anyways? You should be down around speed 3-4 for 99% of situations. When used as intended I have found no power difference between them and the MKIII corded machines that I own.
