From Japan. It is strange that breakfast scene is similar to that of old Japanese one. Sit on the floor and dinning table is small and portable. I love Turkish culture and people!

My parents used to live right in the city centre when I was growing up, and couple of times we went to visit our relatives who lives in the village. They used to pick these vegetables from their garden and cook exactly the same way. I have had exactly the same vegetables and plus aubergine but never tasted as good as the ones I had in that village which was much much much more tastier. They cooked the everyday sourdough bread - village bread - in that oven - stove, or they had a big oven outside made from the stone. They used to always make their own cheese and butter which tasted so good never had anywhere in a city. Strawberries smell like a beautiful flower and taste like honey, instead of lemon as the ones brought to the city from farms. Chestnut honey I had was not heavy, not sugary at all but like a delicious dessert. I had notice all villagers had two big shacks in their yard outside; one was filled with hay, the other shack was filled with dried corn. It was one of the most beautiful times when I was growing up. I think every child should spend some time in a village.

I love how practical the stove is. And she roasting bread straight on top of the oven. And cutting bread on the wooden table. No fussing with cutting boards.

I married into a Turkish family and found this meal typical of what I learned to eat. I'm from England and learned a whole new pallette of food!

Вот вам и деревня турецкая.Везде народ живёт как может.Почти вегетарианский завтрак ,а мы просто можно сказать, и зажрались .Это там где-то далеко отдых, отели, Анталия, Мармарис, Белек.....А здесь люди живут вот так всё очень рядом.

This reminds me of leaving New York City going to the country in the summers to visit my grandma and she cooked on a wooden stove and we will gather the wood for her cooking. The best food ever. Thanks for sharing

I used to think that everyone around the world ate cereal for breakfast and I don't mind what people eat. It is all about the sharing of food with family and friends which is the important part.

Сушка хлеба на печке- это деревенский тостер🤭! Хотя раньше мама замешивала тесто на бешбармак, ракатывала, а мы любили это тесто на печке сушить и есть его просто так, уверяю вас, было очень-очень вкусно👍!

being from America I think this is awesome how you guys come together to fix breakfast and eat together.

Watching you all eat at the low table with the quilt pulled over your knees reminded me so much of a Japanese breakfast time with a kotatsu! You guys REALLY need to get one this winter so you can stay toasty and warm whilst enjoying that delicious-looking breakfast. Kids like to lie on their tummies with their lower half underneath it whilst reading, drawing or watching TV after school-- it's also where you'll most often find the family cat on cold winter days. 😄

Being Greek I cannot believe how different breakfast is as a neighboring nation that is deep rooted in Ottoman culture and cuisine. We don’t eat that much for breakfast like that at all and ours is on the much sweeter side. Perhaps we have more French influence 😂
