I really think that they should allow Elder dragons to be effected by traps in PvP. Makes a more balanced playfield for all monsties.

That would be amazing, but I dont know if all of them have the switch version, I know a certain one I occasionally like to watch bought it on pc. But if cross play was somehow added.... capcom would not only become a better company but also then we would be able to do a community wide tournament.

@@danielz6177 I think its japanese companies in general. I can't think of any off the top of my head that has crossplay, everything I know of are from western made games. But hey, maybe they will start making their games crossplay. It's not like you can't do crossplay between switch and pc anyways, I personally have played rocket league with a friend that has it pc while I have it on the switch.

You have to use a detonate type skill to trigger Blastblight early. Detonation from Urugan or Ignition Breath from Bazel. Ruri you can manually detonate that as well!

Blast blight is really good in the game it does god damage, and there is moves that “inflict” blast and “causes “ blast, “causing” black make it blow up immediately so you can basically 1 shot ppl if u get black with a decked out monster

Oh damn. I just noticed Stygian Zinogre is a technical type. That’s great. In the previous game he was a Power type. And bloody hell most of the best monsties were power types. This is a good change.

This was extremely cool to watch. And I have to say thank you for not doing what 99% of other Monster Hunter content creators have done with this game, and put out clickbaity "ZOMG! GET TEH BEZT BUILD IN TEH GAME !!1!11!!1!" Videos. I notice you've been very careful to avoid doing that, allowing people to enjoy their own teams and discover their own style without having some Rise or World style Speedrunning glass cannon build shoved down their throat for "The way it should be". That's one thing which has really bothered me about a lot of the videos out there. People are treating this RPG the same way they treat the main series games, and turning it into a "Do this or you suck!" Kind of thing. You haven't done that. And it's appreciated.

Ruri: Blast blight is really bad in this game. Reality: Blast blight is insane in PvP!!! Tip: If you don´t run bombardier it´s "meh" with bombardier XL is hits 300-400+ in PvE and 200+ in PvP.

Yeah i also named some of my monsties after characters from other games.. as i'm also going through FF14, i named my paolumu Cid and my Nargacuga Thancred XD

does traps work on elder dragons in this game ? I was wondering if they wernt affected by them like the main series

Nope, elders are immune to traps, including any elder dragon monsties. Course, this is literally only useful in multiplayer battles since monsters obviously can't set up traps

I though that may be the case so I never used them on elder dragons but then they should say it somewhere in the game for the players that dont play the main series and only played stories or like ruri that seem to fogot that facts or though it would work difrent from the main series like it let you know if you use the wrong trap cant naviru say that traps dont work on elders asswell

That was entertaining. I didn't expect the game to let you use so many items. That's really interesting. Then again, I'm too used to Pokemon, where non-held items just aren't a thing in PVP.

Different games different approaches. I mean in pokemon if your mon is knocked out, you can't use it anymore. In this you technically can use it even if it gets knocked out. It's gunna be fun to see how high end rider battles will be.

If the starting kinship is nerfed, it'd stop you from instantly using Sky King's Dance(?) from Silver Rathalos and just 1-shoting the opponent 3 times. A match would be over in 4 turns (Solar Cry, then SKD x3) and would be very boring. Still got me at 20 win streak though 😂

Just heads up up you shouldn't use bombing raid on sleeping monsters because can't crit. Have to use physical moves. Funny match though! Shows that having the best monsties like elders and deviants not enough to win

pvp is great fun but once everybody has got his monstis packed with op genes (in a couple of months) it`s probably going to get frustrated right?

With how crucial status ailments, buffs and debuffs can be - in addition to everyone already using a variation of three elder dragons or Deviants (for the most part), I feel it can definitely get tiresome and stale.

@@ChemyChem not too surprising, she’s Japanese and has lived in Japan her entire life, only traveling to America with Gaijin on occasion so she’s hardly had time to truly learn another language. I believe she is learning English in school though
