Just finished watching the movie. They perfectly adapted Enishi and did so much more! They cleaned up the messy parts while adding a lot of new elements to the character to really make his motivations feel more weighty. The result is the live-action being the best version of Enishi's character, especially compared to the original manga and the OVA anime.

I feel like crying, gosh my long awaited movie is here. Kenshin was my first 2D husbando and made me love anime. Kudos for One OK Rock, the OST is such a banger again! I cant wait for this to be shown here in my country!

@@razhari4497 The anime series never adapted this arc because it ran faster than the manga series could catch up, so the 2nd half of the anime version had original stories instead. The OVAs are separate from the anime.

We're FINALLY getting Enishi on screen. I wish we could have gotten an anime covering the final arc of Kenshin, but this should be good. I like what I see so far. Also looking forward to The Beginning.

There's always Trust & Betrayal ova (Tsuioku-hen in Japan). Tiny baby Enishi appeared there. Also, technically there's Seiso-hen (dunno what it's called in English) telling the Kenshin vs Enishi fight from Kaoru's POV, but it's not quite worthy to watch.

Finally! So excited for this! When I found out the trailer last year, I quickly rewatched Rurouni Kenshin and I read the Jinchuu arc. I have finished the story already last year (already at Hokkaido Arc) but the movue isn't still on😂. I'm really excited since Jinchuu arc was my favorite arc 💓💓 and I have another special event on this movie's release. Its really giod to see a decent adaptation of the Jinchuu Arc. I just really hope an anime version someday. Really hyped for this! GO SATOH!!!

I hope Enishi will have his cocky calm persona at the beginning. I love that he was always calm and smiling because he said Tomoe smiles back at him. But after Jinchuu, Tomoe didn't smile back anymore. Enishi lost his calm demeanour.

This is the BEST live-action Kenshin, it stays pretty true to the Manga and stands up to Trust and Betrayal in quality. What I love is that it does not attempt to be cartoony, they made everything as if it could actually be done in real life! The emotion is palpable and Kenshin's and Enishi's pain, grief, and trauma are palpable and I cried several times. The BEST part to me though is the sound! They did not pump an overload of movie music at you, when music was used it was very subtle and gentle. The climax fight between Kenshin and Enishi does not have any music but the sound is amazing, this made it so much more realistic and personal. I was blown away! WOW! Incredible cinematic experience!

I just realized I never actually finished Kenshin's manga, just as this particuar last arc started. My manga consumption was interrupted by college life and later work. Around the same time shops started to sell locally-translated manga less and less until they stopped altogether. Full Metal Alchemist was among the first manga that I noticed that shops have stopped selling and I finally saw the end through the Brotherhood anime years later.

it was probably the first manga i read to its end, and the last arc is my favorite. it has tight connection to the manga's starting point, and a great closure to the series. too bad the arc's anime adaptation was lesser known to the audience in my country

This is bar none my favorite arc and the one that hit me the hardest when I read it. It probably what made this my favorite Manga, though to be fair, I never finished reading dbz. Dbz was more an amine for me though. The amine adaptation of Kenshin was trash imo.

@@islandboy4445 Don't remind of Kenshin's anime. Me and my brother were totally bummed out by the depressing end(OVA?) I've read and watched DBZ till finish but I don't follow the GT and Super. The multiverse concept feels like a cheap way to justify the existence of Super Saiyan God level. I do like Vegeta is starting to have some growth.

Rurouni Kenshin was among the first anime series I really got into along with the likes of Gundam Wing, Ronin Warriors, and Outlaw Star, it's easily one of my favorite anime stories of all time. This whole series of live-action films was simply spot on... The love for the series was apparent every step of the way, and I have to say that that fight between Enishi and Kenshin was absolutely LEGENDARY. I hope any one else thinking of doing live-action anime adaptations take notice, THIS is how you do it.

Pretty much they are re-releasing the previous trailers of films of this franchise as a farewell as these two films will be the last films we'll be watching this year. Mr. Takeru and everyone who put their heart and soul into playing their respective characters will be something everyone will be remembered of being a part of the legendary franchise.

Nobody understood why I rushed home from school just to watch this anime. Being a girl is another matter coz you can't share it with girl friends who chatter about girly shits... lol. Still have a huge crush on Kenshin even now I'm almost 40🤣 I just watched all 4 live action movies at once. Brought me to tears... nostalgia is so strong in this one. They picked the perfect actors to portray the characters👍

I hope Funimation releases these films too. They did such a good job on the dub for the first three, and enjoy the dub or not it's the easiest way to buy the movie in the US so you can watch it subbed or dubbed. This has been an arc RK fans have wanted on screens for so long and we're finally getting it!
