Finally a good load bearing pack from 5.11, good hip belt, load lifters, and shoulder straps. Hopefully they'll make a Rush whatever that's an 80 liter pack.
@reallyhappenings55972 жыл бұрын
Yeah I though the 72 was a "big" pack but the hip belt will only fit very short torsoes and realistically it hauls about 60lbs at most before becoming unstable. Still a good pack for what it is.

Love this pack but my only complaint is that the main large pocket portion of the pack doesn't have more pockets built in. Torn between this one and the Vanquest Markhor 45.

Hello, Is it possible to have the dimensions? In a buschraft use also, the diameter interests me for the material carried and in particular a "pan" with the consequent diameter;) Thank you

Great review, no blabla, quick and straight to the facts! The frame system seems to me sort of over engineered and very heavy. I estimate it weighs ca. 500 g. The reinforcement plate including the Aluminum bar of the Rush 72 weighs 328 g, only, which is also on the heavy side compared with other backpacks on the market. Nevertheless - a great backpack! I am considering to buy one!

Rush 72 still the king.

But is there an internal separator (Velcro, zipper, drawstring, or otherwise) that separates the sleeping bag compartment at the bottom from the main body of the pack ensuring when the sleeping bag is removed everything above it doesn't just fall into the sleeping bag compartment? Also i may have missed it but did she talk about the price?
@Oli.Miles13 жыл бұрын
Yes there is a divider that can be adjusted up and down.
@HeedingTheCallORG4 жыл бұрын
It would be cool if they made the shoulder straps to where you could take them off and attach them to the waist belt to make a harness/buttpack type setup.
@Oli.Miles13 жыл бұрын
You can do it with maxpedition molle locks, i can send you a picture if you give me your email.
@colinjarvis27392 жыл бұрын
@Anthony Walstra Hi, I don't know if you have it figured yet but the little plastic clips that hold the pouches to the rucksack are slit at the back and they are quickly removed.
@mattsmith682811 ай бұрын
i just wish the back straps were secured with more than just velcro. i went with the Savotta Jääkäri L rucksack instead. oh well, live and learn i guess.

Great demo! As others mentioned it would be great if there will be a less tacticool, more gray man version also available (the full open/accessibility is rare for large backpacks) and I'm not sure about how the adjustable back straps section (velcro, etc.) will hold on a long term.
@FunWithGuns4 жыл бұрын
I always liked the 72 rush pack but it wasnt big enough. This has the liter size and everything else I would want except it screams tacticool. I originally wanted a 5.11 rush pack but now looking at some osprey 60-70 liter options. If 5.11 could make this in a discreet option I would probably get that vs the osprey. Just my 2 cents. Still an amazing looking pack though!
@krimsonhaze3274 жыл бұрын
Not sure if you've already got a pack.. if not, I'd recommend the Osprey Atmos AG 65. It's absolutely an awesome pack. Perfect for hiking/Camping or like me, I use it as my bug out bag. And I'm not an ounce counter.. probably carry too much. Excellent quality and the price is right.. especially now, lots of sales going on. Just my 2 cents. Stay safe and healthy.

If you are still at shot show, Bond Arms has a new “slimline” series derringer that absolutely no one is covering. Would love if you could ask them about it. Thanks!!
@FunWithGuns4 жыл бұрын
Its bc it's a bond derringer
@frankstallone38874 жыл бұрын
Fun With Guns it weighs around 10 ounces and is about half an inch thick.
@FunWithGuns4 жыл бұрын
@@frankstallone3887 and? It's still a bond arms derringer. If you want something small get a 380 or one of my favorites is a beretta 950bs coming in around 9 ounces. Take it from a guy who bought an naa mini. These are cool range toys only. You're gonna want more than 2 rounds in a gun fight. Even as a backup. Plus when your adrenaline is pumping it wont be so easy to manipulate vs modern semi autos. Bond arms arent known for making the best stuff.

Removing poaches off the bag require you to cut seams on the straps attached because the ends are triple layered so you can't weave them out. The strap's buckle has "Autolock" so it's not a big deal.

Im stuck between this and the osprey archeon 45
@staradder2183 жыл бұрын
If you value having MOLLE compatible options for other stuff go with the Rush, but if you wanna keep low-key and descrete go with he osprey. If it's a bug out bag, bigger is (in some ways) better. So as long as it's not weighing you down to the point of exhaustion. Either way, your wallet is gonna receive a big ole hole.
