Rush live at Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, New York during the Hemispheres tour. This is the last known recording of Circumstances until the S&A tour in 2007, since the song was dropped from the setlist during the European leg of the Hemispheres tour. This recording captures nearly the entire concert, however the tape ends before Neil concludes his drum solo.
The guy taping, or next to the taper, provides a lot of commentary to his friend throughout, and occasional "singing along", which is very prominent in the recording. This may or may not be detracting for some people listening to this show. If you've heard all the best Hemispheres tour recordings, this one may be an interesting change of pace for you. The taper/talker seems to be quite familiar with Rush and seems to be introducing Rush's music to his friend for the first time.
This is not one of the better audience recordings of the Hemispheres tour, though other than a few rough areas, it is overall still easily listenable if you don't mind the commentary. There was this really awful tape whirring for the first two and a half minutes of the Hemispheres Prelude, making it completely impossible to hear any music. Since this part of Hemispheres was destroyed by tape damage, I had no choice but to replace that section from a significantly poorer quality copy of this same recording.

Awesome I saw them in December 1982 Signals tour at Nassau Coliseum. Was Rush Popular on Long Island in 1979? This was still 2 years before Moving Pictures their breakthrough to superstardom album was released.l

Two nerds totally petrified by the mere presence of a single woman much like the proverbial deer in the headlights and is much more excited by Neil’s opening sequence in Anthem than any sexual encounter he can ever wish for once he’s done with simply listening to all things Rush. lol;1979 I’m guessing was not a single woman who wasn’t with her own boyfriend just because it’d been a concert or a popular band at that point in their careers lol ❤ Seriously though I appreciate your taking the time to edit, mix and splice all of these shows together as cohesive as you have. I thank you. 🙏🏻 Sincerely, DJP Anal C__t; Postmortem and Kilslug Sony;Earache 🇬🇧 Columbia and TAANG!! This was at a time where a significant portion of Rock fans didn’t know who Neil Peart even was. Nowadays he is a household name and considered an iconic rock drummer. May Neil RIP❤

I hope KZfaq's filter didn't block my comment with my contact information, I've had that happen in the past a few times. Though yes, I'd be very interested to know what you have to share.
