Rush Blade stack Review. Do we need to solder everything?

I ask the question, do we need to solder everything on a drone? The new Rush 30x30 stack has some very simple and robust plugs. But is it enough to withstand the abuse of an FPV pilot?

I have watched too many fpv videos and find most of them the same ole, same ole, if not a bit boring. This video struck me as a whole new style of filming and thought it was really great. Very seldom do I feel like I took the flight myself simply by watching a video. I think you got a knack and a talent! Keep up the good work. Bravo!

Nice point about the website. I have built this stack it. It is plug and play and flies great.

Yup...plug & play for everything but the motors. I'm liking that idea👍

A lot of companies have tried connectors in the past but that doesn’t work well because they tend to come loose. Solder everything is the way to go ;)

Yeah I tried plugs when I first started and stopped using them real quick. But these lock in pretty good and so far they’ve gone out over a mile and no problems yet. We’ll see what time does for it.

I have these, they're stuck in there way better than a tiny solder joint since they lock in. There are awesome solder pads on the bottom if that's your thing

honestly its a lot cleaner its rare that you have the exact right length cable with exact right plugs on both ends so you will probably end up with connectors just splicing cables anyways and end up with a rats nest in your drone. the best way is a nice board with all the pads on the top of the board with beautiful clear screen printing then soldering is a pleasure. this is why i like matek boards so much worth the extra over the cheap boards tbh.

Soldering saves weight

I agree soldering definitely saves weight. But this is a 30x30 stack we’re probably saving 3-4 grams on plugs by soldering. For a micro that totally makes sense but I believe the weight is negligible when it comes to the power of a 5”🤷‍♂️ thanks for watching.

Cool. Find me on Instagram or Facebook (Nor Cal drones) to make chat easier. I fly at least 3-4 times a week plus weekends. Your welcome to come up to Donner lake any fly to. long range is great but I also have some short range spots if you don’t have crossfire.
