I didn't even realize they released a 40th Anniversary edition of this album. But they really flubbed it, the only way to get the blu-ray with the surround mix is to get the big box set with vinyl which most don't need, and it's going for over $200 now. Why not just an edition with the CD and blu-ray like the previous ones?

Exactly! I have a couple of stores that sometimes get the BluRay of these albums on their own and they hold them for me, and I also scour ebay because I refuse to buy a big box o' shit that I don't want just to get the music. Record companies always find a way to gouge people instead of making them easily accessible for a reasonable amount of money.

The only other place to get the Subdivisions 5.1 mix is from the Sector 3 box set.

Not a bad idea. I did it with the Frankie Goes to Hollywood upload and if I can find quality versions of the videos, I'll start doing that - thanks.

It already sounds better on my phone than my original vinyl copy. The first pressings are weird. Like no dynamics very midrange and flat. I bought my copy in 1982

I would argue the max might be 128, which I'm not disputing. But it can be heard in 5.1.@@cogline

@@Genious. You can listen on a 5.1 system, but it will be simulated. You need the source to be 5.1 (6 channel) for it to be true 5.1 surround
