I was one of the fortunate few who was able to attend this and I wanted to point out a few adds. When you hear people speaking of the crowd erupting, they meant it. I have been to a ton of concerts and some extremely large crowd events. Nothing, I mean nothing was as deafening by a crowd than in the staples center that night. After the first 30 seconds to a minute you just had to laugh at it. By the second minute your eyes were well opened and people staring at each other in amazement. By the third minute and what seemed an eternity the crowd finally went down. HBO did a massive edit on their final cut of the show and it doesn't do it justice. It was one of the most amazing things I have ever been graced with attending

The reaction from Jan, the joy on Grohl's face, those at the Rush table with their hands to their mouths, astonished, the peer musicians standing up to show the enormous RESPECT they have for the undeniable talent and the good faith with which it has been delivered to us all for 40 years. I've been a Rush fan ever since a neighbor friend introduced me to the "All the World's a Stage" album when I was just 13 years old. I'm 50 now. Throughout the years, while I always loved Rush, I followed them less and less never really thinking that one day I wouldn't have the chance to see them perform ever again. I was fortunate to see them live for Grace Under Pressure, Power Windows and again for Hold Your Fire. I assumed I'd get to see them again later when time and money permitted. We often don't think about something being gone until it really is. Since the passing of Neil, I've once again found my love of Rush, dusted it off and put it forefront where it should be. I tear up now every time I hear Time Stand Still and The Garden. I've sunk myself into Neil's books; listening to them through Audible and hearing Neil narrate them while briefly pretending he's still here with us. I watch these videos in awe and even smile a bit more during the blah blah blah speech so eloquently delivered by Alex. Neil's passing has helped me to stop assuming things won't change, and that time isn't something to be squandered and taken for granted.

This was really one of the most wonderful and magical moments in the history of RR Hall of Fame. Spontaneous, Sincere and Affectionate. Congratulations RUSH, it was immortalized.

Every time i watch this i cry. These guys deserve those ovations and so much more .. The expressions on all there faces says it all you are loved. This short few minutes watching neil makes me feel soooo fortunate to have listened and read his works. Wonder if she realizes how strong the devotion is in Rushs fanbase and the love for her husband is. 🌹✌🙏🇺🇸

Was 13 yrs old when a friend handed me a ticket to their "A Farewell to Kings" show. Two years later they opened the "Permanent Waves" tour in my hometown. Didn't see another show until my son bought me a ticket to their R40 Tour.

Aside from being a fan, I gotta say that it is an ABSOLUTE breath of fresh air to hear the place erupt for three musical geniuses who danced around mainstream their entire career. This is precisely why you stick to your guns and do what YOU want, not what radio or mainstream want!!

The greatest band of all time. They should of been inducted a long long long time ago. I will be forever indebted to Rush for everything they have done for me.

This was Rush. How could anyone not react like that? Now that Neil is gone all I can do is just remember all the wonderful times I ever got to see them and realize that everything has a course, good and bad, and we should honor Neil not by being sad but by being glad that he was here and the enjoyment he gave us all.

I became a fan in 1975 when I attended a Blue Oyster Cult concert in Duluth Minnesota and Rush was the opening act. They were debuting the 2112 album at the time along with songs from the previous three albums out at the time. I admit, that at that time, I had never heard of Rush before. The day after the concert I went to the local record store and bought all of their albums! Saw them next in 1987 and lastly, and DAMN glad I did, was during the R40 tour in 2015.
