Been there, only there were almost 2k enemies marching at my castle. Luckily I had about 200 somewhat decent troops with me who blocked the stair with their bodies while I've been chopping heads with my long war axe. Took me about an hour, by the end my character was as red as the color of my new kingdom.

But you can go to any king and join their empire, say u wanna pledge your oath to them. You lose kingdom but you keep your town. So you have a nice income from it and a place to garrison units.

Bro if you play this game in hard settings and only play by simulating battles and found your own kingdom( since the ai is playing like that), you will see that sultan hakim actually plays much better than you

If you want to immediately have every kingdom declaring war on you, you can easily take a castle or city any time you like lol Those 1 - 3 weeks are necessary tho if you want to build up Right to Rule.

well, ariko's goal was to get his own kingdom asap but protecting it and actually expand with forces given is another story. Personally I prefer having enterprises in every city before starting conquest so i have income to sustain powerful armies&garrisons and some big money on balance for time being since some of them will get frozen eventually (factions i have war with will block them). And you can only imagine how much time does it consume yet my problems are reduced to in what order shall I destroy my opponents :)

Took me like 6 months, all I have is 1 goddamn fort and I can barely hold onto that.

@@SavageFreddy33 about 200 high-top tier xbowmen allow to easily repel any assaults against overwhelming odds. In open field decent numbers of heavy cavalry does the trick. And obviously you'll need leadership character for that (emphasis on char and int) with bare acceptable minimum on combat stats

That is the mosr broken thing about MB Warband, you can stockpile mercenary horseman or better, Swadian Knights and no one will beat you, it even gets boring that with 60 or 80 units can crush even 400 of enemies

Just have to play higher difficulties. Those strats don't work on normal settings, let alone hard.

@@Vok250 I use normal settings, I didn't say my army has the best outcome after beating 400 man, but with companions at full stats for an army its possible

He never entered combat and memorised where options were so he went through menus fast. He the attack a recently conquered city with low garrison to force surrender. It helps that the speedrun is just to get a kingdom, not hold it as if he kept playing he woulda lost it right away

You need to start your kingdom for that.

Run to the closest king you can find who is not at war with the faction from whom you took the city and ask to be his vassal. You might not be able to hold the city for long even after this, but you might get a week or two of income, which certainly helps.

Actually this can be a useful early game strategy for joining any faction you like with a higher than average income rate. If you own a fief, you can go to just about any king and ask to join. They've always said yes for me, because it's free land. You get to keep the land, and nobody can declare war on you.

But it is not your kingdom, you are serving them...

Well that just makes the game super boring after like half an hour

I generally find it difficult to find bandits after I get about 40-60 guys in my party. I'll get swarmed when I only have a few guys but then when I have a decent raiding party I can't find anyone to train off of

Simple answer is he immediately hires enough men to put off looters and the small bandit parties you'll see at level 1. He also judiciously avoids the Nord, Khergit, and Sarranid lands where the most dangerous bandits are found. Also a good slice of luck.

From what I’ve seen from other playthroughs and my own, nords and vaegirs start off at war always and rivacheg is originally owned by nords and taken early

its called a speed run. In other games they glitch through walls and other bugs in order to beat the game as fast as possible. This was just to get a kingdom, not conquer all of Calradia, not set up a fully functioning kingdom, or a kingdom he could hold.
