I’m actually doing the same thing with only doing level one defenses. I found that rushing to th 7 and stay their for a little bit to max out your lab can help you with attacking. Or at least upgrade barch and dragons

Klaus, i started an account like this some time ago and I’m at th9 now, and i quickly noticed that I couldn’t do it without having a specific army with good level troops. I decided to max out my archers and barbs along with the lightning spells (for sniping mortars and maybe wiz towers) but other troops are not estrictly necessary at least until th8. Nice! I remember the days where you could rush a base without building anything, but since the June 2018 update, you have to set down everything required for that Town Hall before you proceed to the next.

I have done this a year ago with one of my accounts, I have set these rules and they worked pretty well (1.5 months to TH11 and 3 more to TH13): Type of farming army: * TH1 - TH9: BArch. * TH10 - TH12: Mass miners. For each TH: 1. Place the new buildings required by the next TH. 2. Upgrade: - Lab - Barracks (up to lvl 12) - Army Camps - Spell Factory - Storages (Gold & Elixir only) - Optional - Clan Castle (There's is no much use for the gold anyway so why not) 3. The only Lab upgrades: - Barbarian - Archer - Miner - Heal - Rage - Freeze 4. Builders: - Don't spend Gems on anything besides Builders. - Upgrade to BH3 in order to get the Gems from the trees. - The rest of the required Gems can be obtained from the Achievements. 5. Dark Elixir - Spend it on the Queen :)

When you get to th8/9 use pekka quake. 6 pekkas 2 drag cleanup with 4 quakes 1/2 rage (depend on capacity) and a poison

I personally think you should buy all of the builders. If you’re trying to get to TH13 ASAP, you’re going to need all 5 to reduce the time of building new things so you can upgrade to the next town hall. Plus, when you get there, you need all 5 to start getting things upgraded.

my best tip is keep the barracks to the level that the th has.. this will save you so many hours of grinding.. grinding as a th13 with level 2 barbs and level one archers is hard.. trust me..
