Ron Baran I did say two OTHER world-class musicians. Alex's playing is nothing short of marvelous; this song and La Villa Strangiato are excellent examples of that. Alex Gittins The Who and Led Zeppelin are also great examples of rock bands consisting of only really talented musicians (two of my favorites), but I can't see them nailing something as complex as YYZ live.

One of the best pieces of music ever written. Right there with "Mars, the Bringer of War" and "The Four Seasons".

+TheBizzeh He said Bonzo was a pussy...If there is one man that is NOT a pussy it's John Henry Bonham. Neil Peart is a fantastic drummer. But he cannot reach the heights of Bonham's drumming.

Best band of all time. They came up with so many complex beats and patterns and grooves. They combined all kinds of music together.. No one else sounds like Rush.. at all.. not even close. I Usually say stuff like.... Geddy was the best basist ever or Neil was the best drummer ever... But Alex is the best guitar player ever.... And im talking about over my favorite guitar player of all time , Randy Rhoads. I love when i was just getting into Rush... i had to listen to a song like 100 times to finally understand the beat and how they had so many different parts to a song... making the song a story.. taking your mind of a journey of thoughts and feelings... haha .

The fact that YYZ was conceived out of an afternoon of jamming is absolutely incredible

Can't get enough of the bass groove 2min in. That little drop down back to his groove - right after the pinch harmonics at the end of his 3rd solo (2:14). Freakin brilliant. Adds so much momentum. Little touches like that throughout that blow my mind.

Dubbed, and so what. For one, excellent original. For two, awesome closeups on the studio playing, which I appreciate. Each musician a beast. This song and their playing are mind-blowing. Everything to like here.

Alex is one of the truly unsung guitar heroes. Very few guitarists could have hung what THAT bassist and THAT drummer. Alex was a beast in his own right.
