21/08/99 Rushden & Diamonds came out on top in a crazy 8-goal thriller at Nene Park. Goals from Mark Peters, Mark Cooper, Michael McElhatton (2) and a late Paul Underwood header gave the Diamonds the 3 points. Kidderminster Harriers would go on to win the Conference title with Diamonds as runners-up.
