In 1994, a documentary titled "Miracle at Nene Park" was made, which delves into the story of the merger of Rushden Town and Irthlingborough Diamonds, and their journey to become Rushden & Diamonds in 1992. The documentary also showcases the history of both clubs before the merger and building the Nene Park Stadium."

Great years in the beginning. Played at both Hayden Rd and Nene Park. Brings back fond memories of watching R&D in the early years. Especially being able to see behind the scenes. The hospitality at the Diamonds Centre was 1st class. It's unbelievable that it's all gone now, demolished.

My grandfather was Cyril Freeman. One of his sons was Les Freeman and he lived right next door to the Hayden Road ground. For many years as a child he gave me a season ticket and I sat in the stand. One of the men interviewed was also an uncle Eric Harrison. He was still playing when he was 50 years old. I have a wonderful poster undated for a match between Rushden Town and Corby. Thanks for sharing this wonderful video. It is very moving.

My Dad was Mick Allen, he helped build the Clubhouse at Nene Park . I remember sitting in the Jeep that used to tow the garss cutting rake thing about 72 ish. Such a shame about the Club folding.

Plus the scratched record of Shirley Bassey used to jump when the Diamonds came on the pitch around that time. It went 'Diamonds are f Diamonds are f Diamonds are f ', until someone knocked it. It was quite funny, really :-)

My grandad Ray Byford is in this video of when they were doing the building work, he always tells me story’s of the Diamonds and how he misses playing football.
