He would have got his 2nd Oscar if Denzel hadn’t taken such a departure from his normal roles in “Training Day”. Russell won the Golden Globe and the SAG that year. They became such fans of each other and teamed up a few years later for “American Gangster”. My favorite RC movie is “State of Play”, with Rachel McAdams and Ben Affleck.

actually i have scientologist friends... this is what they're essentially trained to say. If you ask them about their beliefs, they won't explain much, they'll give very vague general responses, and then say if you want to know more about it, read the books. They don't want a discussion - because a discussion will lead to facts refuting their beliefs.

Mark ONeill Yes ! They do ! This " Church " is insane n has been forbidden in Germany . Tom Cruise is not a victim because he s rich .. other people have had their lifestyle ruined . It's heavy psychology pressure n has got to do with acting methods .. that's where it originated California LA Ron Something being a failed actor or distributor opened up classes with role exchange ect .. it's unhealthy as fuck n target people who r lost ... Russell Crowe is stupid ( on that day in this interview ).

@@1matdad362i really liked that movie too, it’s one of my favorites, the cinematography really stood out to me, it was just beautiful, gorgeous area in France, and such…well, I don’t really know that much about film terminology, but it was very warm bright colored lighting, atmosphere, that really set the positive mood of the film…it really stuck out when they would switch to the London scenes, which were all gloomy lighting, and sterile looking…so the contrast between two were quite dramatic. Made me want to go to the south of France, and fall in love with a beautiful French girl. Lol. That French actress was great in it too. Loved the outdoor theater science, just such a great lighthearted movie, feel good movie…..but it got horrible reviews strangely enough. Critics hated it, and I think it was a bust at theaters. But yeah, obviously I REALLY enjoyed it, and I think your comment was first time I ever noticed another person who liked that film.😂. Of all the great Russell crow movies, you r recommendation is ‘A Good Year ‘….hahaha!!! And I think that’s awesome, cuz I have to admit, it’s my favorite movie of his. And I LOVED gladiator…it was always my favorite movie, of all time as a kid, or teenage I guess when it came out. Check out the movie SideWays, if you have it, it’s about wine, but it’s a dark comedy, but it’s great!!

When I was a young London cop (I'm an older one now), early 2000 during the MI2 premiere in Leicester square, whilst standing on the red carpet outside the theatre (tit hat on, etc) Russel asked me to take a photo with a fan. I didn't recognise him at the time as his hair was longer than when on Gladiator. I gave him my hat to hold, took the picture and finally recognised him when he said "cheers mate". Well, clearly as an actor he is NOT going to step into an arena where the COS will come for him should he say anything negative about TC even if it is the truth. He knows very well not to attempt career suicide by speaking negative which the COS calls evil if anything negative is stated about their flagship leader TC! The fact that TC is no longer associating with Russell since his divorce from Kidman speaks volumes as to how he felt about Russell! If TC genuinely was interested in maintaining a friendship with Russell he would not have allowed the divorce to stop that from happening.......HOWEVER, there is something about the COS called "SP" Suppressive Person so I imagine that is the reason TC no longer allowed Russell into his orbit!!!

Why would you feel badly about Cruise? He goes out of his way to help people-even to the point of pulling over his car and saving them-and he never has a bad word to say about anybody. He is hated because he once said he thought therapy and drugs weren't helpful, he jumped on a couch to declare his love for someone, and because he practices a religion that most people don't believe in. I guess those are major crimes to some people?

"Scientology is a body of religious beliefs and practices invented in May 1952 by American author L. Ron Hubbard (1911-86). Hubbard initially developed a program of ideas called Dianetics, which was distributed through the Dianetics Foundation. The foundation soon entered bankruptcy, and Hubbard lost the rights to his seminal publication Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health in 1952. He then recharacterized the subject as a religion and renamed it Scientology, retaining the terminology, doctrines, the E-meter, and the practice of auditing. Within a year, he regained the rights to Dianetics and retained both subjects under the umbrella of the Church of Scientology." - according to Wikipedia So THAT is how it became a "religion". Seems like a monetary loophole, a company restructuring or just a way of moving things around within the legal system until Hubbard could reacquire his assets/work. Once it was labeled as a Religion, then that's where we get the weirdness taking off. I don't trust new, religions/cults - they just don't measure up to the scrutiny and this "Scientology" is no different. I still say that it's a CULT.

When my wife and i moved to L.A. years ago Scientology tried to recruit us. It was suppose to be a free acting class at the church. We didn’t know exactly what scientology was at the time. It wasn’t much of an acting class. More of a promotional class for the church. They put me in a room and gave me the personality test. We got the readout and they tried to tell me what was wrong with me. The test was ridiculous. I held the two hand grips connected to the machine with wires. They asked me questions and i Immediately felt i was being manipulated in to something not good. The staff seem very drone like. All had a fake facade of friendliness and happiness. They took me into a room to analyze my read out and my personality issues. By that time I was ready to chew the guy behind the desk to pieces and i did. I let him show his cards first. He would tell me my deficiencies and I disagreed with about 80% of it. He argued with me that it was what his machine told him and it was correct. You couldn’t argue with this machine. I told him what a bunch of bullshit this was. And put it all back on him turning the tables on this manipulative bullshit. I asked him how he could ever analyze who I am and what I am, just by me holding a couple handgrips hooked to some fake machine. I ask him his medical background in psychology, he had none. I asked him who analyzed the data from the machine. He was very vague about it and had no real answers. They try to make you feel like you are less then, deficient. A leak or vulnerable personality easily could submit to this. They make you feel like you need help and they are the only way you can find happiness in your life. They try to put you in a vulnerable position. Break you down so you will submit. Its a classic cult recruiting method. I told the drone behind the desk that I was leaving. He was trying every trick in the book to get me to stay. My wife was going through the same process. I went to the room they had her in and said we’re leaving. I felt it was a race to the exit door between us and their staff. We both were followed all the way out to the street where we had parked. The drones were trying to talk us into staying all the way even blocking our path. They even offered us launch to stay. My fight or flight instincts kicked in and I was ready to turn on them if they got close to my car or put a hand on either of us. They stopped at the property line of the church. OMG what an insight this experience gave me into this church and I say that loosely. The difference between a church and a cult is when you try to leave. This is not a church. It has nothing to do with spirituality or God. They never said anything about god. They want you to worship the church not god. Stay away from Scientology at all costs because you will whined up paying the price.

Oh man. If you're not interested, NEVER take ANY class of any kind if it's from a church. They WILL give you the sales pitch and try to convert you. I was 12 years old when the Jehovah's witnesses went to work on me. "Bible study" they called it. I was too nice to say No. My parents were to nice to say No. JWs have no business trying to convert a 12 y.o kid whatsoever! Anyhoo. That's in the past. I can deal with JWs or any other religions I don't agree with. I simply tell them my beliefs are my business and no one else's. They don't take no for an answer at first so I just repeat myself until they get the point. Problem solved

Romeo Alpha when I was a kid we had a church in our area called Tri-City Baptist Church. Young men in their church would drive around neighborhoods pull up next to a kid riding his bike and start talking to him or her about being saved. They literally would try to save you. Have you except Jesus Christ as your lord and savior right there on the street. Didn’t really matter what religion you were. They would never do anything like that with a parent around. They caught me many times always told them to go stuff it up their ass because I knew what they were doing wasn’t correct. You’ll be riding your bike down the street and a car load of young men pull over and literally surround you. They would tell you you were going to hell if you didn’t get saved right here and now. It got to a point that when we saw them we would cut through yards or fields to get away from them. That church later got in trouble for hosting a karate exhibition locking the doors so none of the kids could leave. The kids couldn’t get out they had this Baptist bullshit rammed down their throats. My brother and his friends went to it and he was so angry. As a matter of fact my friends dad Mr. Henderson an Army vet got in his car and pulled the Tri City Church boys car over and let them have it. He was pissed and ready to fight. Told them if found them it the neighborhood again his was going to call the police or take care of it himself. Mr. Henderson became our hero. In later years that church had its Pastor removed for inappropriate relationships with young girls. He went to jail. It was then sued into a oblivion and had to close it’s doors. Thank God. Even at the age of 8 you knew something was very wrong here. That ruined me on the Baptist religion for life. If someone did that to my kid no way i would call the police. I would want any wittinesses.

All men(& women) have evil in their hearts. They have good too but still, evil is there. That said, the Christian Orthodox church is talking to me. Maybe I'll look into it. @haydenlogston2164
@haydenlogston2164 4 жыл бұрын
Romeo Alpha my exwife was a staunch Catholic. I attended services with her and I really enjoyed it. I was raised as a firm believer in spirituality and reincarnation. The only church I have been loosely associated with is Unity. Yes a church and services helps a person become more spiritual and that’s a good thing. I myself never needed really it. I spent a lot of time in the woods when I was a kid and that is were i felt my first realization of God. I’m not a granola eating organic type person. I eat meat, shoot guns, smoke and chew tobacco. I pray in my home and in the woods. I live in the mountains of CA at close to 6,000 feet. It’s a really small neighborhood And the Los Padres forest is literally 2 short blocks from my house. I mean miles and miles of forest. A trail head is a 15 min walk away and i can be in heavy forest with tall pines and not a soul in sight. So my church is a 15 min walk away. Organized religion it’s not for me there’s too much conformity. Some people want the structure and feeling of community. Thats exactly what helps people get in touch with their spirituality. As long as we are trying to be better and more spiritual people it makes no difference how you get there. I have nothing against organized religion but I’ve always lived my life by creed. That creed is “organized religion is for those who fear hell, spirituality is for those who have been there”. I have been there. I don’t dislike organized religion its just not for me and never has been.
