Russell is amazing at getting to day 39. Not so much playing to win. I still think his play to take out Tyson with an idol play on Parvati is super underrated and doesn't get the credit it deserves as it singlehandedly lead to making HvV the best, however he only plays to play hard and not play to win.

He also managed to actively lose any possibility of either Ami or Scout voting for him with his weaselly answers. Fortunately for him, he was sitting next to Twila, who was very unpopular with that jury.

If Survivor was a game of chess and not a game of creating relationships than Russell would've won both seasons and if you go back and rewatch Samoa then you can see why he lost to Natalie White and that most of Russell's confessionals talk about strategy and not about building relationships.

Ryan S noooo way. Rob’s game is much more similar to Chris. He did use many psychological tactics to control the camp and did make some very harsh blindsides and moves but never was a bully and never did some of the disgusting things Russell did. I also thought so until I watched the seasons back to back and it shows a huge difference in game play and where Rob becomes a much better player than Russell(social aspect).

I will admit, watching HvV the first time I was of the mind that he should have won. (I didn't start watching until Netflix had HvV and Cagayan, so...last year I think?). But as I have watched more and understood the game and how important jury management really is, yea. He is a bull in a china shop. Sure, he'll get to the end, but will never ever get a single vote.

I understand now why Russell hated Sandra so much. Sandra isn't scared of Russell and the only girl who doesn't cower against him. Even Parvati at times were scared and she even cried. You see when Russell was furious with Sandra not telling him about the idol. Russell didn't went beast mode to attack Sandra. No 1 because he knew Sandra will not cower and she will wipe the floor with his face. No 2 because she knew yelling at Sandra is useless because Sandra doesn't care and nothing he said will break her. So instead, he went beast mode on Parvati by accusing her of lying. Russell just need to vent to somebody when things doesn't go as plan. If he can't do that to Sandra he will do it to Parvati. Parvati doesn't get hurt easily but even she cried when Russell accused her of lying. But Sandra, he knew there is nothing that would break her which is why it was so satisfying to see Sandra win and also why I just hate Russell so much. There is difference between being ruthless for playing the game vs actually being evil. Russell is an evil psycopath.

If you genuinely believe that Natalie deserved that win and didn't get it because of a bitter jury then you gotta get evaluated asap. Natalie is in my top 3 all time worst winners.

Natalie didn't win because of a bitter jury, Natalie won because she was the jury favourite (apart from Brett, who would've cleaned house if he made FTC ). Even before FTC, Natalie had 3 people who were a guaranteed vote for her because unlike Russell, she actually bonded with them(Brett, Laura and Jaison). Russell had 2(Jon and Shambo) There were 4 free votes in FTC, and of them 2 already told Russell that they were never voting for them. And Natalie was the better than Mick. Russell's game is too short sighted, he makes unnecessary deals only to break them almost immediately, betraying the very people who have to vote for him at the end for no reason. Also I don't get why you all call the Samoa Jury bitter. They outright said they would've voted for Russell to win if he was against any combo of Mick, Jaison and Shambo in FTC. A bitter jury would never do that. They voted Natalie cause she played a good enough game while making strong bonds with everyone.

In other words, Russell needed to be the Natalie of whichever tribe he fell to. Whatever Natalie W listed as important to her real-world occupation, that was going to come into play.

Well, another thing he should've realized is that Parv, Jerri, and Danielle at this point were far from dumb, as 2 of them had been to FTC before with one of them winning, and couldn't see that the three of them were ready to ditch him once he stopped being useful to them until final 7 where he gets paranoid and votes out Danielle.

Also another fun fact Russell holds the record for appearing on three seasons in the shortest time period, participating in three out of four consecutive seasons from Samoa to Redemption Island.

All the more reason to get him out first. Jeff even said he cracked the top 10 of the most Notorious villains of all time. If you’re playing for a championship title would you wanna go against others you know the exact gameplay or a random team that you know nothing about only that they are one of the best to ever play. You’ll always pick the team you know how to beat

Yup that was her one critical mistake that cost her the game. She was dumb thinking people wouldn’t be mad at her for that. Sandra took all the people those two hurt and bullied and befriended them. Her social game sucked! It’s like she forgot that those people are the ones who are going to decide her fate.

Who will she aligned with though? Rob from her own tribe was targeting her, Heroes were hostile towards her even before meeting her. She had a reputation and that’s all it takes for them to hate her, that’s not poor jury management, she’s hated already when she enters the game again.

Unlike Tony though, who did have a slightly existent social game at least and knew when to do what was needed for his strategy, Russel didnt really have much of a concrete alliance in HvV since the one he sort of had with Parvati was mainly one out of desperation on her part until she formed one with Danielle and later Sandra. Tony blindsided his allies to, but didnt burn bridges as quickly nor did he behave quite as cutthroat as Russel. Russel burned bridges and didnt seem to mind making the flames bigger even if they hurt him later as that was just his gameplan to reach the end. So in short, I think Spencer would have defended his game especially if he was called to talk after others had lambasted Russels strategy, but he probably wouldn’t have respected Russel as highly.

From what I remember, it was in the next week on survivor preview at the end of episode 6, but wasn't actually in episode 7. I think some kind of tragedy just happened around that time, so the show decided not to air that confessional.
