Literally came here to watch this again when I read about that story. 😂 The whole thing reminds me of Americans getting offended when a Filipino boyband tweeted "Hello Negros" when they promoted their concert in Negros Island. Many were offended and some even told Filipinos to change the name. We are not going to adjust our language and names just because Americans are offended. 😂 It's another case of Americans thinking the world revolves around them.

It should be "Na Ge" (That) or "Na Yi Ge" (That one), if pronounced formally. Due to accent, habit, or simply just speak fast, it ends up sound like "nei ge", or "ney-gur" in case you are not familiar with pin-yin. The word(s) itself means "that (one)" or simply a filler word like "well..". Fun thing is, niga means "you" in korean. Edit: Thank for the likes, some minor corrections. Addtionally, it does sounds like "Nei ge" if you say "Na Yi Ge" (That one) fast, too. That could also be the reason.

F. OPE The question is never about not being allowed to do it when it comes to the US though. We have free speech here. People are allowed to come here and say whatever the fuck they want. But this is not a matter of offending anybody, because they are not saying the n word. If a foreigner says the word "beach" around a child, and with their accent it sounds like they are saying "bitch", does that mean they are cursing in front of a child? What would be wrong would be to attack a Chinese person for saying a Chinese word that means "that" just because of what it sounds similar to in another language. Are you hearing how stupid that is?
