Where are all of the “Russ can’t make reads and he is washed” people now? The bottom line is this team needed time to gel and the coaches needed time to catch up to modern day motions and shifts. I’m glad to see Payton is calling a more updated offense and VJ a more updated defense.

You’re a damn fool dude. Russ is trash. Guy can’t get in the end zone or get first downs. Yes he makes good plays sometimes like any bad qb. Tim is a delusional yes boy for yes and likes to pretend Russ isn’t in way over his head out there

Green Bay blows lol. Wilson can't make reads and he's washed, he can't move like he did when he was younger. Broncos are fucked for a few years, until the cap stain from Wilson is washed away after 2025 (but those draft picks are gone forever 😢)

Good lord he did a few things well and you act like he's a world beater now, and everyone that has called out the bad things have now been proven totally wrong.... Payton didn't updated his offense he just hasn't trusted Russ enough to run his actual offense. It's crazy how many other people you can find to blame for two seasons of one person's poor play.

Well yeah somewhat but I still don’t like the VJ defense and the offense still needs a shit tone of work but a big improvement yes!!

I appreciate the subtle details of the play design and how Russell is working the field that you present. So often people are not appreciating what Russell does. It really takes everyone to be working on the same page for a play to be successful.

There is a reason people haven't been appreciating Russ...he hasn't done much worth appreciating. He did do some things in this game well though, hence the appreciation. This guy has called out the good things Russ did well in the first 2-3 games. There just hasn't been much lately.

"its only a 5 yard gain." I LOVE 5 yard gains. A 60 yard run or pass is usually lucky. The defense broke down, someone missed their assignment or a tackle. You hope for that on a play but doesn't happen much. The 5 yard gains are the offense EXECUTING.

FTA. Great stuff again! Appreciate this every week. I think Payton should be trying to do more things that have worked. Right now hes teying to feel out so many different things. But he should KISS. Keep it simple. Run thr ball. Use ball conteol. And let russ make high percentage theows. With some down the foeld shots to keeo the DBs honest! Can they beat KC next week? I say yes. At home. After a good win. Score is 27-24 Denver and the first win agaisnt KC in 8 years!

One of the things you talked about a lot last year was personnel usage and how guys were being misused in a way that hindered the offense or was never going to work for certain concepts. How does that compare to this year? Is Denver improving, are they making smarter coaching decisions in regards to personnel usage?

The pass where Russ overthrew was to Adam Trautman and he’s not the fastest TE, if it was Greg or any other TE it would’ve been completed.
